I really loved the "rabbit" feature in the saw. How do you compare this saw to the "Ridgid" sliding saw, especially when you think of Ridgids Life Time Warranty? Yet, liked your video on this saw.
@homerepairtutortoolsgear1607
@homerepairtutortoolsgear1607 7 жыл бұрын
that feature is pretty cool for woodworkers. I think Ridgid makes solid tools and I really love their battery warranty. They sent me a free batter for an old impact driver. Not sure how their saw compares to Milwaukee's. It would be cool to check out the Ridgid miter saw and see it in action. Their blade is only 7 1/4" versus 10". And the total RPM is a bit less for Ridgid. Hmmm, maybe I need to get my hands on one and do a side by side comparison ;)

Although I haven't tested the 5.0 Ah batteries I bet you'd be fine. You could just get the bare tool, see how it performs and if you're happy with it then don't get the High Demand battery. I think it's a better deal though to get the High Demand battery as a kit with the miter saw. I'll try to make some cuts with the 5.0 Ah batteries on 2x4 and see how it performs!!

I have not purchased mine yet, but would like to add some insight here for those comparing this to dewalts Flexvolt. I'm in the market for a true cordless miter saw. Both saws come with two batteries, yes. Only one saw doubles the run time with that extra battery , while the other requires the second battery. Yes the dewalt comes with a corded adapter. It would be nicer if it came with two extra batteries to double its run time( but that would be too much money) So looking at the saw for what it is( a CORDLESS miter saw) my feeling is that the Milwaukee is the better of the two if your not looking to rely on a cord for backup. It's also the most cost effective when it comes to cost of replacement batteries (remember dewalts two batteries need to be looked at as one battery). If you want corded saw, then by a corded saw ;-)
@homerepairtutortoolsgear1607
@homerepairtutortoolsgear1607 7 жыл бұрын
+32vquattro great explanation, I need to look at DeWALT's new cordless saw. Never thought about the added expense of buying two batteries. Milwaukee's does just need one. It'll be interesting to see if they develop a corded option for this saw down the road like DeWALT

I'd need to test out the new DeWALT cordless miter to see, no doubt both companies make good products.

What is the depth of the saw fully set against the fence without dust bag ( ie rails fully extended w/o bag) . I am space limited. Thanks

+David York so you want the rails fully extended out the back of the saw and then the distance from the front of the saw to the back of the fully extended rails? Just double checking

Flores 828 How good is the DeWalt one? I've been thinking about a miter saw for a while and the DeWalt caught my attention.

Ali Haidar its awesome bro its like having a full complete miter saw with no cons because if you run out of power you can always plug it in

Flores 828 Yeah, i've always liked DeWalt's approach with their tools having two power sources. I have their vacuum cleaner and it's same thing, POWAH! Is it that heavy?
