Thanks for the recommendation. I downloaded the demo today and as soon as I turned up that big knob, wow! I had been using a combination of plugins like a Slate bus comp, Ozone plugins (stabiliser etc), and running them through Slate FG-X. On a couple of tracks, it was tricky to get a decent enough dynamic range. But with Master Plan I can easily get the dynamic range above 4db, which is what they recommend. And without any loss in level. Nice song you have here too! Surprised you never released it before.

Bolo the best way to Master a song is from a 2 track mix down but I know you know that. Most people like me do Mastering only get the 2 track mix not the full mix like you got now.

The difference in the amount of features and control between Ozone and Master Plan is... staggering. (e.g. you can't raise the volume of +just the vocals or drums+ in Master Plan). Master Assistant is just one, very small, part of Ozone. They're 2 completely different things, with very few similarities/overlap. EDIT: That being said..I use Master Plan, somewhere in the mixing/mastering chain, on every song. It works incredibly well. Only thing it needed was a LUFS meter.. which it has now. (I'll even throw it on a drum buss sometimes.)

TYPICALLY, you'd wanna avoid adding another D>A and A>C conversion to your mastering chain if you could avoid it. ESP if the tool (Master Plan) wasn't specifically designed to take advantage of being hardware, but... I feel ya.
