Music of the year 1969 the competition was extremely hot back then, spent numerous weeks at no1 on the charts of both radio stations, they then continued with 'River of Babylon' in 1970,the Melodians are in the top 3 Jamaican groups of alltimes. RIP Bros.

This tune was a huge smash when it came out in 1969. The late, great Beverley's producer Leslie Kong was a dab hand releasing hit records, whether it was Melodians, Toots and the Maytals, Derrick Morgan or Ken Boothe. His sudden death in 1971 ended one of the most prolific hitmakers in Jamaican music.

Crazy, however not true, the talk of we loosing Reggae music as proven by this old name group with a new zest. For those of us that is old enough to have been familiar with the group Melodians under the distinct voice of the legendary, late great Brent Dow. One could never have image that in 2017 a group such as the Melodians could rise to occasion in showing what hard work and dedication can do in redefining the quality of an album, as this one in the songs, lyrics and arrangement that has cause The Billboard music chart to recognized, as material of caliber, worthier of mention. We all know that filling the shoe of Brent Dowe was a tall order, none the less we can all agree that with Winston on lead vocal and harmony by Trevor and Taurus this group is here to stay. I am sure with this breath of fresh air coming from Winston Dias, Taurus Alphonso and founding member Trevor McNaughton the vision of (classic music) can only get better. I just want to say thank you much as to reassuring me that the music is alive and well. Thank you Winston, Trevor, Taurus and Willie Lindo for a job well done. Looking forward to more and loving it, bless.
