@ReasonablySpeaking98084 жыл бұрын
First, I would like to say that your hands are blessed and your work is impeccable! I like your sister too! Many years ago I did this technique and this is how I was able to start my dreadlocs on my fine hair texture. I learned it from my Rasta friends from Jamaica. It was most beautiful and my hair locked up nicely. To everybody else asking how do you take it down: THIS IS BEGINNER DREADLOCKING! What does that mean? Once you start “knotting” or locking your real hair, there is no taking or reversing the process. It is meant to be permanent. Over time, and re-crocheting from the root, the hair will naturally begin to lock. Think of it this way: this is the super highway of achieving long dreadlocks instantly, without going through the short, ugly phase where the hair has to keep getting re-twisted every week or so. If you don’t want this as a permanent hairstyle, DO NOT USE THIS LOCKING METHOD. Now, If you do it anyways, and attempt to take it down, be prepared to lose a lot of your own hair because it will be a tangled mess!! I hope this answers your questions about a technique such as this. Stay beautiful and proud. We’re blessed with the most beautiful hair texture in the world😊

interlocking her roots in that manner is the same technique used to start real (not just temporary) locs. if and when she's ready to remove those, her hair may have started actually locking and it's going to make removal very challenging, if not damaging.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong. Some people do cut the extensions once they’ve reached their desired length. Or you can remove them all together 🤷🏽♀️ although I don’t like interlocking, the interlocking kind of speeds up the locking process for many
