Regarding the "improved" treasure floors of skull cavern, I've noticed new drops: 1x seafoam pudding, 10-20 cinder shards (yes, from Ginger Island, but now in Skull Cavern), 5x artifact troves, and then for some inexplicable reason, the usual 5x omni geodes now only give a SINGLE omni geode from that same treasure floor. Which brilliant genius told CA that treasure floor omni geode drops were too OP and to nerf them, I'll never know. One would've thought that it would be buffed to 20 omni geodes or something (seeing that 1 artifact trove = 5 geodes at the trader, and now these chests give 5 troves).

I almost can't imagine the lowered Omni geode amount was on purpose 🙄 As you say, it makes no sense... So I think it might be accidental somehow 😅

I got the floor with the minecart going up to the top and the new one with all the columns in the Skull Caverns last night. And floor 300 has three guaranteed chests as well. Got around 5 auto-grabbers in total from the treasure floor chests, as well as a bunch of saplings, magma geodes, rain totems, and seeds

The QoL change I’m actually most excited about is the crab pots. 😂 I mean, I’m still not going to use them much but at least they’ll be WAY less annoying when I do

The lava river floor is definitely new. I've also come across a new one where you have to cross lots of little islands to get to the other side where the exit door is.

Similar to the normal bubbles, but for a specific type of fish and it gets announced similar to the train arriving.

@@StormCrow42 That really confused me, maybe cause it was nighttime when it showed the message there was a chub fish frenzy up in the mountains, I went there immediately but couldn't see any bubbles or anything out of the ordinary. I did hear a difference in the sounds of the water and I did fish but none of the fish I caught were any chubs lol Hopefully it happens again during the day and I can see what it is that makes it a frenzy 😅

I got really lucky on one of the new volcano floors. It spawned floor 1 with a rare chest on an island that contained an ostrich egg. Took me a week of searching because I... Accidentally cooked the first one 😅

The new volcano floors feel so small. It's an easy 5-6 hour clear sometimes. It's nice when I'm just farming starshards but ut feels wierd

I'm happy to see that the auto-petters seem to be easier to obtain and that it is possible to get them without having to run through the dreaded Skull Cavern. Combat is the one aspect of Stardew Valley that I really don't like, so I don't often venture into the Skull Cavern. Combat is the reason that I do not view Stardew Valley as a cozy game. There is nothing cozy about combat. (Maybe I should look for a mod that seriously nerfs combat.) Unfortunately, this means that I don't get much iridium until the third year, so making a lot of crystalariums for jade isn't practical until then. I've never understood why farm animals require petting in games like this. Having to deal with this causes me to limit the number of animals that I acquire in the game. I would like to have a farm full of animals, but it isn't going to happen until I can find enough auto-petters. In real life, most farm animals (with the notable exceptions of goats and horses) are either indifferent to human contact or actively dislike it. Chickens are especially skittish. I've found that I can't even get close to a chicken, much less pet one.

There are mods to make combat super easy. It's how I deal with Skull caverns and the volcano (otherwise I would not visit those much). Normal mines are ok for me.

you may have said before in the posts on 1.6 how did you get the parrot and what does he do besides just fly around?

the parrot is a trinket you unlock once you reach level 10 on all skills and go into the Mastery cave and get the Combat Mastery. The trinkets is a random drop while you're in the caves (so far I've found trinkets in the regular cave and the skull cave) The parrot follows you around and gives a chance of finding gold while slaying monsters, he has a video on all the trinkets if you want to see them.

Hey there, havent watched many vids from this channel but i wanna chime in some feedback, sorry if it comes out too aggressive thats not the point i wanna make. In a vid showcasing new stuff maybe its not the greatest idea to use visual mods. Every single time something dropped i thought it was something new for a split seconds. Really bothered me to the point i started skipping ahead until i found the points of interest. Also this. when showcasing 'something' it would be better to get footage of said 'something' instead of trying to find it blindly. Sure longer vid but then again, just forcing (me at least) to skip forward more than not.

Console and mobile will not be updated until most of the bugs are fixed on PC, it's almost impossible to release same day hot fixes on console and mobile so he wants the game to be as clean as possible first

I have very little knowledge on game development but I know a game for consoles and optimization is way different than on PC. Why do you think most indie games come out on PC first and take a while for consoles? If you don't want it to crash all the time or have it look terrible it's gonna take some time and from what I know of Concerned Ape from his past updates he wants everything to run smoothly before he's happy with putting it out and moving to the next thing. Bugs here and there are a given but seeing as he keeps working on patches and hot fixes (even added a few new features in between) since 1.6 shows he's very dedicated to completing a product well, all the while always keeping the updates FREE I might add.
