The high level tactic is in combat bolting a hero after a couple of non bashes so you can get the bash in the bolt duration guaranteed.

@@ihatemylifenot4887 I think evasion is pseudo random as well. Also every RNG value can only be increments of 5s, changing it in map editor into increments that aren't 5s just makes them round it to the nearest 5, im pretty sure

Was this buffed then quickly nerfed, Grubby? In the Bnet client it doesn't show like this, but the typical 20-30-40% and 25-45-55 bonus damage.

Something I've been wondering, if you have MK with upgraded bash and the rusty mining pick; 1) does it give a 40% stun chance overall? Or can they both trigger simultaneously, meaning a 37.25% stun chance? 2) Does it still deal 25 damage when the pick procs, or is it coded in game as a "bash" and thus deals 100 damage?

They don't stack I think, you have your bash ability that does it and a mining pick ability that does the bash.

They count as separate different bashes, like crits. Otherwise buying basher on troll warlord wouldn't have been a thing in dota 1

IIRC at one point Stormbolt was a 5-7-9 stun to creatures, but was toned down to not have such long stuns on large targets. Now Bash lvl 3 will take a tauren out of the fight for 6 seconds. In this case I think we should give Stormbolt a 15 sec stun to match this philosophy Sorry, tauren :(

@grubby Isnt 5x25% much closer to 125% in the warcraft engine than in real life, because all the random effects scale up their probabilities on each failed attempt to smooth out the randomness? So the hits would have like 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% chance individually?! (made up numbers, but so that the average works out to be the same, but the frequency more closely matches 1 in 4)

Every subsequent miss increases the chance and every subsequent hit decrease. The number 25 is just the average if you hit for ever. After a successful miss and then a hit the % resets to the default value. (dont know which one it is but is not 25 is closer to 15). So it goes like this First hit => 10% (Doesnt bash) Second hit => 15% (Doesnt bash) Third hit => 20% (bashes) Fourth hit => 10% It also goes the other way. if you bash for like 3 times straigh the chance will eventually drop down to 0% This is so you dont go a lot of attacks whitout proccing due to being unlucky and viceversa

I think the idea of Bash is to be Human's Entangling Roots when combined with Storm Bolt. But nobody likes Entangling Roots (at least in its current state). The last thing anyone should have is a ranged perma-stun.

Wow. That avatar MK was disgustingly sickening. It was like if a lusted BM did crits with STUN, and had bolt, AND had magic and spell immunity. Too bad HU orb sucks. I want to see that MK at lvl 10 with lust or unholy frenzy and their ORBS. would be a one man army. It even stuns air too iirc. I thought you were losing this game for sure(especially when he killed your mains towers with unholy frenzy), but then your Avatared one man wrecking ball appeared lol 😂 Please do more of this strat and try perfect it! @@Newbtuber everybody having a powerful toy to play with is better than everybody fighting with pool noodles. just inherently balancing through buffs creates opportunity for counterplay and asymmetry rather than nerfing which exclusively takes away options. if it turns out super op then just give some tools to deal with it and now we have more dynamics. ofc i don't play wc3 but I have played sc2/dota2/league/apex... balancing through nerfs is always just sad. just tired of seeing the same chumps in every gaming community that complain whenever anything is changed, they'd rather their game stagnate and die rather than watch it change.

@@TheInfectous Dont think you understand how dumb this bash is lol. The chance and damage is over tuned. It should keep the damage or keep the proc chance, not both. The problem with this bash is that there is no counter play. You saw in the video, once it proc, something is going to die. Even if you get bad proc, you just Stormbolt to stun. Just having the increase proc chance or the damage is already a HUGE buff. Having both is broken. They are going to have to tune it down, there is no other solution without ripping the game itself apart

Bash is strong this patch, but TBH this change doesnt affect bash uptime or DPS that much. It just makes it more noticeable when it happens. This game was also a bit of an outlier with finding DPS items and letting MK get to 6 where he's magic immune vs undead who would usually slow/disable him.

Now when I think of D4 math classes... their equations were even worse than meets the eye. They should have written: 1000 XP * 140 % = 1400 XP Why? '%' stands for a proportion 'per cent' or 'per one hundred' so you have to include what you intend to count your 'per cents' from. Alternatively: 1000 XP + 1000 XP * 40 % = 1400 XP because '40 %' alone means nothing as there is no base to this percentage. 🤓

The primary purpose of this video is to ensure the buff to bash will not go through, however, the power is exaggerated by stacking attack speed items. Let's not forget BM can deal massive damage by stacking damage items. Now that bladestorm is massively buffed and Grubby is surely not going reveal the stupid power of this buff especially on building and let it silently go through.

let's not forget that bash is magical damage so it does 200% to heavy units, which is what MK will mostly be hitting in most matchups. So around lvl 5 he does ~(40-armor) + 200 if bash. Another thing is, every second of bash is increased means there is 1 less second of cooldown taken off of stormbolt if you are trying to stunlock a hero. Meanwhile your entire army is getting approximately another free attack per each second of stun. Original devs were conservative about stun availability and lenght to avoid this kind of situation. In other words, this change is really, really smart and not stupid at all. I don't forsee this getting reversed in < month. Or ever. Next lets just give humans at the start the game 3 townhalls and 15 peasants, instead of 2/10 like it is right now, and then all those 100 apm "pro" hums from EU and US will maybe start winning against hard working 300 apm korean NE's (and Happy) and then we can finally call wc3 a balanced game!

spell damage is not the same as the magic attack type. all armor types except hero/divine takes 100% spell damage.

bash is not a spell, it's a physical ability with a magic damage component. that's why you can bash magic immune units that you couldn't eg. stormbolt. @@fisherspride magic damage is not the same as spell damage. I think bash is magic damage and not spell, I could be mistaken, after all it did 25 damage before so it was barely noticable.

Mountain King first has been a viable although not majority Human strategy for a long time. But usually followed by Paladin and Bloodmage (in either order), or rarely by Archmage, instead of being solo.
