Those crystalline highs at 7:57 sold me! I still play at my 74 Classic for that reason. MSA guitars are voiced to make a strong man cry and a good woman snuggle closer. LOL

I use to have a MSA Legend 12 string. They are a well-built pedal steel. I also had a classic MSA double 10 for 30 years. But now I’m back with my Universal 12 Sierra.

First of all: wow great sound and look! And Sorry if someone already said this but when talking about wood it’s “Tim-burr” but sound quality, overtones etc is pronounced “tamm-burr” and that’s not a pretentious way of saying it, that’s just the word.

Hi Mickey, firstly thanks for your demonstration of your cracking steel guitar. Can you tell me, what’s the best steel guitar to buy, for someone that has never played before and what amp, should I get to go with it. Keep it country and all the best from Gerry way over here in Scotland.

Could you please have a listen to the UK gentleman David Hartley. I want to know the differences in his sound and set up versus what I heard out of this video clip. To me, and just my opinion, the Steel in this clip sounds thin and wirey... is it just the camera, or is it lots more going on, or on the other gentleman’s set up than this one ? Just trying to figure things out a bit. Watch his video David Hartley on a Franklin...let me know your thoughts.

Hi Mickey. I don’t play steel and here’s why. I’m left handed and have never seen one. I play guitar, banjo, mandolin and on down the line. I’ve always wanted to learn steel. What’s the chances of getting a lefty and what’s the price range? You could be my last hope. Thanks!
@packingten6 жыл бұрын
Rodney Yarbrough. Stage one pedal steels will build you a lefty another thing join the pedal steel guitar forum. So you can do lefty. Im a lefty as well but learned. to play guitars right handed hope this helps you😊.
@rodneyyarbrough65246 жыл бұрын
packingten Thanks a bunch. I learned that way too but I’ve got good lefty stuff now. Just need the steel. Can you send me a link to the forum? I appreciate it.

I lost the dexterity in my hands. That means I lost the ability to play my guitar. I sure would like to try out a pedal steel to stay involved with music. I hope you can help me out. By the way it was osteoarthritis in my spine that caused scar tissue on my spinal cord. This damage is permanent. I don’t feel sorry for myself, but I can’t afford one and thought you might be able to help. Thanks.

Don Nadon you can find non pedal lap steels very very cheap and you should start there or with a dobro. A friend lost hand use and went that route
