It’s a Glorious Sunday Moshpit! I’ve had my espresso & the title indicates that this is going to be good. Heck, the thumbnail art alone is a 9/10 dunk (seriously, put that on a sticker- I need it on my PC) so let’s see the run. Start Stats are not the best- having almost as much tear rate as damage is rough. Mom’s Contact is pretty good, petrification is the best CC effect in my opinion. Genesis is a long term play, but it could be excellent. Floor 1 Curse of the Blind- this is less awful with Genesis. Item Room offers crooked penny, no thanks hoss. Getting a Perthro rerolls that into Cricket’s Body- that is extremely good in general & has solid synergy with Mom’s Contact. We do now have more tears than damage, but we take that in this case. Mom’s Pearls from the boss & we go down. Floor 2 Black Rune into Item room Starter deck gets our damage above the tears rate, so that’s solid. Boss gives us PJs & Devil deal gets Guppy’s Eye & Sister Maggy. Ignore the shop as we have no money & head down. Floor 3 Curse room TPs us to the Devil deal- Bad PhD is taken. Playdough cookie from the Item Room- all reroll fodder at this point. Steam sale from bombing the keeper. Roid Rage from the boss & down we go. Floor 4 Curse Room has Sinvicta Robes. Item Room has Super Bandage, plausible Sac Room shuffle play. 4.5 Volt for half price is a good take, the scam box is not. Sac Room TP us to the Angel Room- duality in play, but with 2 angel statues 1 bombs gets us 3 angel items out of 1 room. Popping the Reroll machine card: Revelation, The Mind, & Blood of the Martyr. What a room. Going back to the Sac Room an extra tap nets us Redemption. This run is now so good that Genesis is being left behind for Crack the Sky? Boss drops Binky & we go down. I repeat, we have abandoned the Genesis play! Floor 5 Serpent’s Kiss from the Item Room- we made the right call on not popping Genesis. This is a solid run. HP from a beggar & we go to the boss. Fallen is always interesting, giving us Dark Matter. Devil deal offers Eye of Belial & Goat head. Mom fight, take the negative, pass on the devil deal but we still get damage. Boss Rush: a pretty anemic offering, but Lil Brimmy is always nice & we Fool out. Literal Random red chest gives Guppy’s head. Item Room gives Number 1 taking our tear rate into orbit. Bad PhD has been giving us damage via Luck Down pills, bumping us to over 11 damage at this point. Floor 6 Redemption damage up to 11.5, 12 with vibrant bulb active. Secret Room has Head of the Keeper- we don’t need the money now, but we know there is going to be a victory lap with this build. Loki spawned as the boss, technically. Divorce Papers for another tears up, taking it to the current cap of 5.5. Devil deal is a Krampus fight, sadly no coal but hey Redemption means more damage. Floor 7 Sac Room may be an express lane to Lamb. It Lives dies in a single Crack, we pass on the devil items, & go hunting for hearts. Tinted rock drops Mom’s Ring for more damage & Soul of Eden for a reroll on the key pieces. The reroll gets us Car Battery- with Crack the Sky & 4.5 Volt this is basically an infinite orbital laser barrage. Rotten baby is also taken & we get Conjoined- it’s really good in this position. Dark Chest Credit Card from the sac room is going to give us some free items. Incubus, Money=Power, & Athame. Good Lord. Scapular from a room chest is just the cherry on top. Lamb gets stepped on & we Lap. Lap Floor 1 Mystery Gift in the Shop pull Sausage in the Secret Room. Sac Room gives up Redemption again. We take the Soul heart, sadly the floor reward does not stack. Floor 2 Item Room says “please, end it” & gives up Cricket’s Head. The Shop reroll machine has one last laugh with exploding on black candle & rerolling to coupon. Wooden Spoon from the boss solves our movement “concerns” & the devil deal gives us Guppy & the Pact. Total Annihilation is online. Floor 3 The Bible in the shop grants Bookworm & Seraphim, wholly necessary transformations that are in no way overkill. We pass on the Devil deal as the damage is just better here. Floor 4 Curse of the Blind does not dampen our spirits, the boss gives us the stapler, & we pass on the devil deals for more damage. Floor 5 Boss drops Placenta & devil deal is passed on. Item Room has Soy Milk, it does “kill” our damage down to 5, but when firing over 30 tears per second who cares? We are explosion immunity away from this being a total wipeout. Floor 6 Apparently taking a sack in the Devil deal counts as taking a Devil deal? Dear Redemption, please reconsider your position. 8 Inch Nails in Boss Rush, more damage thanks. The “fight” looks less like Isaac & more like Vampire Survivors. Honestly, the only reason I haven’t closed out the Dunk Rating is I’m waiting to see if we crash the game. Floor 7 Roid Rage from the boss. Gimpy in the Devil Deal, but we have to get hit for it to work & that’s honestly just not happening. Floor 8 It Lives dies before I finish typing the Floor number. Devil deal gives up Damocles which we take into Hush. Hush Damocles is unfortunately left with very little to work with since we’ve gone through so much of the Item pool. At least that’s the cope I’m telling myself- we get Knockout Drops & Juicy sack out of 8 pedestals. Hush itself is difficult because I think some it’s attacks aren’t animating properly do to bullet spam on screen. Still, it’s a fast kill. Cathedral Get Belt from a gold chest. I think the most dangerous enemy right now is the wall due to firemind shots. I think Isaac got 4-7 frames of animation here, not sequentially. Chest According to the Dunk Rating: an 11 is an actual game crash or an Omega run. This has not been a full crash- but I’m willing to consider the game avoiding a crash by not animating stuff as a half point. Forget Me Now from the secret room is interesting. Running the chest back: we get Deadeye & SMB Super Fan from random gold chests, this is considered bullying at this point. The game calps back with Maximum Sinvicta Navigation. No Dad’s Key so Omega Run is off the table, but we do get a Delirium Portal. The Void Counter to last floor- we get straight to Delirium. Somehow this fight is more stable than Hush? Weird. Final Verdict: 10.5/10. I cannot give it a full 11 given the rules of the Dunk Rating, but I will bend it to allow for half points in this case. Most of an Omega Run done, animation skipping, & enough firepower to push enemies through walls? It’s absolutely a beast of a run.

Enclosed space sleeping = Animals in the wild seek out dens to remain protected while they sleep. Its much easier and more comforting to sleep in an enclosed space because it limits the directions a threat can reach you from. Both cats and dogs in their domesticated varieties retain this instinctual behavior.

heres a cool little tibit with genesis: the way the game rememebers what pool the itmes are in is what room spawned in an item. so interestingly, you can rig genesis by opening treasure rooms and such, then getting a deal. when you go into the deal,it'll remember that that room spawned items, so when you go back and grab items that you left in the treasure room, they will be remembered as deal items! the same works for rerolls in general

expanding on the paladin character idea, i think an oathbreaker concept would be much more fitting to the game, such as you get 2x bonus from angel deals but 0.5x bonus from devil deals and breaks your oath, or something along those lines.

I play ember knights alot nore than Isaac. I like the classes and the pitential different builds. The difficulty meter and even the variant bosses and the recent 1.5 update is pretty dang good. I would love to see you play ember knights and see how you feel about it.

I think the enemies projectiles didn't animate, so basically it was invisible sometimes because you was shooting to much playdough cookie tears with Incubus, see that one fight with Hush it's all playdough cookie fault

Day 301 of asking Sin for a Fiend Folio run called Fiendish Firsts! But considering Sin seems to be Fiend Foliod out maybe he can try "Boss Butch" adds a bunch of new bosses who aren't completely unfair and for something very unique try "The future" mod adds a new floor with custom enemies and bosses and the boiler adds a third alternative for dross and downpour again with unique enemies and bosses!
