ngl, any kind of charity will waste like 80% of donations for their marketing, rent and employees. Instead of donating 5k to some dumb charity, offer to pay the lawyer for a woman that cant afford it herself, when she has been harrased or violated or idk what. Buy clothes, food, tents, blankets for homeless people and give it to them directly. buy the poor kid a bike. Offer to do volunteer work for your community. It is so so so much more helpful than any number you will ever donate. Some time ago there was this guy in front of a construction market. He sells charity subs on his desk at the entry. When you read the terms and conditions, it is literally written that 25% of your donation is given to him as a commission. Keep your hard earned money to yourselves guys, and if you happen to have something to spare, support your favourite artists, your community, eldery people, kids and those who cannot take care for themselves. If everyone follows that we have way better communities and societies around us. trust.
