Amazing how many are saying they “knew of” or “heard of” but hadn’t listened to TNP previously. Great to see new exposure and fans for what may be the most solid indie rock outfit of the last 3 decades. Their catalog is deep and Mass Romantic, Electric Version & Twin Cinema are legendary.

I used to get CMJ Monthly, and the CD inside had _"The Laws Have Changed."_ That song hooked me as a massive fan of the band as well as everyone's solo ventures.

Absolutely love this!! Instant fan. Just checked out their Spotify. Haven’t been this happy to hear a new band since nirvana. Seems they only got better as they went. Gotta thank them for sticking it out so I could find them!! 😂

Pontius Pilate and the one they played right after PP (I’m lame, don’t have the name in front of me) are my favorites on the new one, but hard for me to pick one song out of so many gems. Listener since 2002.

Such a great new album! It takes a lot for music to get my attention these days, but this one did. I went hard into it to get ready for the tour opener and then set it aside for a while. Then I noticed multiples of the new songs popping into my head randomly, so I went back and fell in love with the album all over again. Thanks so much for playing KEXP again. Wonderful performance!

I’m in the ‘Seattle’ area, but too far out to be convenient to see them when they were here. Seeing this makes me wish I had made the trek. Last time I saw them was at The Filmore in SF, Jan 2019 (Morse Code). It was a good show, right before the world changed.

Interesting. I'd heard OF these guys but never heard them, and had always guessed that they were more folk or country than indie rock. Maybe because "supergroups" tend to be formed in the cracks between the off-times of half-a-dozen main bands - so they tend to represent other, typically more rootsy interests of their members, and their material tends toward the simple, instinctive, quickly learned, and not dependent upon intricately crafted arrangements. And while these songs don't have a whole lot of chords, it's clear that plenty of work went into them. Which makes sense, when you consider the COVID lockdown working process Carl Newman talks about.

Is there a list somewhere of just Cheryl Waters bands? Because honestly every band I know and want to see she's hosting...I just want to know the ones she's hosting that I'm missing.
