The bass line gives me old Tragically Hip vibes. So good!

Yelling "Pilate! Too Soon!" 🤣🤣 I love these guys. After 20+ years how are they just NOW releasing their most interesting album? I'm addicted to it, start to finish.
@jamesismyname3631 Жыл бұрын
The answer to that I guess would be because they are artists. Great artists. Last album was interesting and catchy also. This album here is easily their best work.

This album is good. Yes it didn’t hit with me right away but it has started to grow on me

This is my favorite single so far.

Anyone else notice a change in Carl's singing style? He doesn't seem to go after the high notes on this new album, leaves it to the girls. I am not saying this is necessarily bad. His voice sounds really good with the sax on this one. I will see him in Detroit soon and when they sing the oldies I will find out if it is by choice or not.

I've seen TNP and I've seen Carl touring with Neko and yeah, but it's not a bad thing.

He can still hit most of them and a lot of his high notes are falsetto anyway. He still sounds great live. But it would make sense not to make newer songs too hard for him to do live as he gets older. This song is awesome.

@@mapleleafmitch Excellent insight Mitch. I did see some reels of the Mass Romantic tour and he seemed to be getting up there. He usually has a high-quality falsetto.

I've loved the NP's from the outset, but this is by far their most unmemorable album and there's not a single tune on it that I'd ever need to hear again. Absolutely desultory!

this shit is so on. To me, the problem with the current generation of Christians is that they no longer believe in a past. That's what happens when you believe that ALL sins are forgiven. When you approach life like this, the only event that's allowed to continue to remain in the past becomes the crucifixion itself. Everything else sort of gets erased. "The sun kept on rising til it floated away". Right on. . . "God is not a contract or a guide".....at some point I lost it.....can I get a witness ?

ironically the word 'martyr' originally meant 'witness'...

Sorry, but this was just a whole lot of nothingness. This album is starting to sound like a really weak effort from TNP. I didn't care much for the first single originally, but after a while it really grew on me as nuances came out. The next one and this one, not so much. I have every TNP CD, but I'm reconsidering my preorder of this one.'
@drmemory7 Жыл бұрын
I have dissed some new releases of theirs before and upon repeat listens grow fond of them. The 3 songs are not catching fire with me either, but I will continue to give them a chance.
@doninwv Жыл бұрын
@@drmemory7 As I said above, the first single had to grow on me, and now I like it pretty well. These next two, I've been trying to like them, but just not gaining much traction with me.

I hated in the morse code .... when I first heard it, but after persevering it clicked and I like it a lot now. I always use the 3 plays rule when I don't like something straightaway. If I still dislike it after 3 plays then I write it off as not for me.

It feels like their energy is low a bit for me compared to like some of their earlier things, like a lot more mellow. Idk hard to really say myself, I don't mind it
