I honestly prefer the sound profile of the Zoom75, this is a good alternative tho. The colors and finish of the QK seem nicer. Plus those badges!

Meh. I prefer the sound of my Odin R3. What's the point? I think this 75N is actually a nicely compact keyboard for a 75 percenter.

@@MrBeeastFan everything that is full of foam tends to sound the same. The real difference is a sound comparison without foam and same switches. Gives a better idea of the case sound profile. Sound is subjective, I was just going off of what mine sounds like and my own preference.

I've built my first custom keyboard about half a year ago. I just got a regular kit from KBDfans. I still don't get why people claim it's complicated, you just need to add the correct components to your kit, that's all. It's basically adult legos, just like building a gaming PC or soldering an amplifier kit.

I am in the same board (no pun intended), except I am still waiting for my batch to ship. I wanted to get OG QK75, but since it was hard to find any both in stock or GB, I went for Zoom75. Don't get me wrong, the board is beautiful, but there are so little decent reviews about it. Like, does it have the same latency as QK or does the glass finish fade away in the long run?

@@dalebeefsteak119what the person above me means is that the zoom75 is 100% not the best sub 500 dollar keyboard nor is it the market that zoom is trying to fill. They are trying to market in the 200 dollar ish range of keyboards not the 500 dollar range. If you wanted to get a keyboard for 500 dollars you could get many many many better keyboards. Not shutting on budget boards I personally own an Akko mod 006, qk80, and Neo65 and I love all of them but at the same time I could never claim them to be the best sub 500 dollars keyboards even though the qk80 and Neo65 are comparable in quality to the zoom75

Nice ad, because finally I know where I can go to make my own keyboard. I would make a 4 split spacebar (thumbkeys) and also indexfinger keys between the 5-6, T-Y, G-H, and B-N, 2 between each pair. Many of the keys at the left and right edge would go to the middle, but as programmable and macro keys.. Important is that ? and ? will be separate keys as well as : and :. I think that would be faster than DVORAK etc. layouts. The side will have some space and that I would fill with macro keys.

This keyboard is honestly super confusing the more you look into it. For a kit of its price, the layout support is really underwhelming. It also is strange how every mounting points are on the PCB and yet you don't get a solder PCB to build this one plateless. And having to flip the keyboard around just to grab its 2.4 GHz receiver sounds super annoying.
@qwertykeys2119 Жыл бұрын
1. reversed inserted switches have conflicts with cherry profile keycaps so we only use it on cheaper projects such as neo; 2. solder PCB can't fulfill our 1k unit moq; 3. it's a storage compartment which was never offered in our previous designs. Hope this clear things out for ya :D

That’s actually not true. Research Economies of Scale. It might feel less special sure to buy a good quality board at a lower prices that is in stock, but ultimately that is what scale leads too. Furthermore there will always be a high end market as long as there is demand for that. The boutique makers won’t just open giant low-grade operations. And if they did, other quality brands would enter the market and support the demand for enthusiast products.
