Redbull should do their own Downhill circuit. They already have all the infrastructure, tech support and staff. Just send out a team now to scout some new tracks...like in Japan! A number of riders mentioned Japan.

I think UCI DHI care to much to do all events in first world and all near for the first world teams travel less. Imagine how a third world racers like Brazil should spend in planes to all UCI races far away? Yes Red Bull could have taken from UCI but looks like a huge endless advocacy fight. And DH is not a "new" sport like Enduro and EWS so is harder to change hands.

Seems like most of what they've changed to accommodate Jess is smooth the run-ins and reduce the length of the longest jumps, which is fair enough. It's still feckin bonkers! I hope she does well and brings in more women next year.

Yeah i don't think they've done that specifically to accomodate Jess.. Robyn Goomes, Casey Brown, Chelsea Kimbal, Cami Noguera & other ladies have already ridden the 90 footer at Darkfest, & Jess herself has already done Formation, that progression session on the Rampage site, so she's well versed in rough terrain & huge jumps.. In fact this year Hardline have made the new jumps BIGGER.. They have however smoothed out the run-ins & landings probably to make it more professional, quite possibly because there's rumours that with UCI DH coverage over, that Redbull might run a Hardline style series, like Fest, in multiple locations. So this is potentially a test to see if they can make it into a more race-worthy event, rather than just a pure one-off freeride race event..
