The demo cam change is nice, because you know ahead of time what side u spawn on and what’s happening with the ball before you spawn, you could also let team know if in comms that you’re coming back right or left.

Glad to hear someone talk about the lines finally being properly in-line with the small boosts! I always thought Rocket League was kinda odd for doing different floor designs on different maps. It Much like Football, or American Football, Rocket League should have it's own field layout that shows all the spawns, the demo spawns, the big boosts, small boosts, all with the lines on the ground. Not only would it have it's own identity, but it would even be useful for tracking boosts with ball cam on for all skill levels!

@@yekh I'm a mid-champ and I can hit a spawn-demo when I have a good timing. The location isn't the hard part, but it is knowledge you have to practice maybe once or twice, then you've got it. Marking the location would only serve to make it just as accessible to newer players as well. It's part of the game, and the devs seem to have doubled down on that with the latest update basically letting us know that the RNG spawns is part of the game. I don't think making it more accessible is going to make people go for it more often.

I love how the demolition camera was already really good back in the day where you explode but you could pivot your camera where you got demo'd and you could see all the action around you waiting to respawn. Then one day, they completely took it away to where you couldn't look around anymore and were forced to wait without any vision of the action. And now they brought in a new camera that was worse than the one we had and I'm just here like..."Whyyyyy?" Thanks Epic!

With the demo cam, I recommend going into camera settings and changing "Demo Transition Time" to 0 so that it's a hard cut. Much less disorienting imo and gives you slightly more time to get your bearings and see the play.

I must admit, I thought adding teammate boost indicator was a "crutch" feature for players that i think should understand positioning better but now i like it. I think boost lines and demo cam is in the same vein, subtle but useful improvements that help players very slightly

Late but I swear there is an easter egg on that map. It has something to do with the music that plays after goal. It's very noticeable in freeplay but it happened during a casual game. Not sure if the person just didn't have an anthem but the brooding acoustic guitar played after the goal and like wouldn't stop playing for a while after the replay.

It's doubtful you'd know Sherbrooke given it's in Quebec, but it's possible you've heard the name once or twice because it has two universities (Université de Sherbrooke, and Bishop's University). Maybe Dralii has family there given they have Canadian decent.

I like the demo, but I feel the transition from getting blown up to the camera starting to move is too extended. I can increase the speed it moves with once it starts moving, but I can't alter the starting point. I believe it would help greatly if they could deliver more refined features than what they've done so far, that being said I am grateful to whoever is pushing for these changes in the company. Leadership can eat a stick for all I care, if they really wanted to help they would give more free reign to the devs.

I don't mind the idea of the new respawn cam, but the way it snaps to the ball can be really jarring. Maybe i just need more time to get used to it, but i find i still struggle to get my barings straight depending on where the ball is and how fast it's moving. I think it could be helpful if you have ball cam on when you get demoed, your camera continued to follow the ball the entire time as opposed to facing straight forward and snapping to the ball.

I just don’t get why the demo camera takes so long to move. If it instantly started moving after you get demoed, it might actually be helpful for comms, but with the long delay it just feels awkward and almost unintentional, without being particularly helpful
