1:18 I've noticed this interaction with a couple characters. For example all mights tornado or mirio's shield. When activated they still take damage even though they are supposed to be invulnerable to some moves. Even with the Alpha damage nerf, he still shreds through shield and health like paper. I feel now people may have more incenctive to upgrade Alpha first on the Building stage. So yeah Mirio is SUPPOSED to be completely invulnerable when he goes underground or activates permeation, but there's a really stupid bug rn where if you take damage at any point when you activate either move it doesn't work like dabi's self res, and then you take damage the entire time and those 2 moves do nothing. So Shiggy, endeavor, denki, any characters that output constant dps or cover a big area are really scary for him since he can get hit while activating and kinda ruin 2 of his 4 moves lol That said... I am INSANE with Mirio, this is the best I've ever been in this game, top 200 and I'm barely even grinding. The amount of not only super sweaty trios I've 1v3'd to clutch at the end like blindars' team, dante's team, tsyechi, shiny is crazy, crazier is that basically every player in every lobby I'm playing in ranked right now has a permanent red/yellow/green/blue/purple activated to be like 20% better than me in every single stat yet I'm winning MORE than normal and getting multiple 12+ kill games. AND I've even beaten 6 completely invincible togas so far by planning ahead with a level 5+ yellow and green card and dodging her until the circle closes to keep my hp full and out storm healing her. His combos are insane, his movement is so fun, and perfectly i-framing things like AFO pull by tapping and untapping 1% of the permeation meter and destroying them is so cool. Plus I feel like everyone else seems to think he's terrible and he has a few bugs so if his alpha hitbox size gets increased, if they actually make the "power" big enough to combo, if they fix the beta and special bug, and if they fix these 2 horrible glitches like I don't even know how I'll ever lose again he already feels way too overpowered right now to me.

@@CharismaticDemon_ Thank you thank you! I was really not expecting it to be mirio tbh, he wasn't even one of the characters I was super looking forward to but I love him. I have a ton of tips actually so sorry if this is long haha First, until the bug gets fixed you kinda want to use your beta or special like season 1 compress where it's so slow to come out that you kinda want to get to slight cover first for that 1 second of safety before you activate it, ideally with beta you activate it in a place no one saw you go under anyway so they don't expect it and roll it. also if you activate beta in the air he is invincible the whole time he goes down too without burning the % of beta, so you can alpha up twice then beta down in tiny storm circle situations to stay alive. Leading your shots well and predicting rolls is one of his best ways to do damage. I think also he's all about buying yourself time to get cooldowns back, sometimes I'll stay in the floor longer, sometimes I'll hold gamma longer just to get what I want back, and in panic situations you can just use the whole permeation bar and get out of there. Permeation is best used on moves you really know the timing on though like a parry almost, like activate dodge through it and immediately deactivate and punish them For combos he has a lot: Beta > alpha > alpha > gamma is my favorite. The timing is really tight from beta to the first alpha, in my experience it seems like you kind of have to pay attention to how high off the ground the beta lifted them to see if it'll be true. The higher they go the more free the alpha is. Alpha>alpha >sprint cancel to them and do 1 melee > alpha alpha is also true. (you can technically get the third alpha here but I don't think it's worth unless you know they have no teammates because you'll get obliterated while he stops to "POWER". it's super clean and feels awesome. but the sprint cancel melees are kinda tough. If you just want an easy consistent one though Beta into gamma is pretty free since the gamma makes you fast fall down to right where you knocked them up from. or alpha alpha gamma. Alpha alpha > beta can be used too if you want to predict a panic roll. it's not true. but a lot of people mash roll to try to get out of the 4 alpha hits, and if they do you can catch their roll spamming with a well placed beta, and then beta leads into 2 more alphas and a gamma. And they've already taken 2 alphas at this point so they probably just die. If you're playing on a team with a res character, doing the ADS like "teleport" permeation to dash to them and set a gamma up over their downed body to blow everyone directly on them back and block projectiles for a bit can usually buy the res character time to save them. You can also hold gamma to cover over half the time it takes to open the big chest if your teammate is the one opening it. In general though I think he's mostly about playing safe and predicting where your opponent is from angles they literally can't even fight back from, and when you get a good opening he has long combos to really punish a hard read you landed.

Yesterday I was playing with shiggy and I found out something very crazy, I was on a team with toga and twice with a maxed out alpha and beta, this toga on the other team hand mirio quirk but wasn’t turned into him tho she just had the blue sparkles around her, I used my decay field which was maxed out and she took 0 dmg, I kept tryna hit her for 2 minutes but she wasn’t taking dmg, I saw that no one on the other team was also unable to hit her, I died with the twice blah blah blah then the same thing happened to my toga, for 5 minutes she wasn’t taking any dmg because she also had the mirio thing on her but she wasn’t turned into him
