Yes that was a good choice. And a unique feature of these Stadler trams!

Nice video. Haven’t seen those new trams myself yet. That beeping sound of the doors is actually a European and/or Swiss law concerning the accessibility for visually impaired people. All new trains and also trams have that feature. Some trains have them so loud that it’s almost giving you hearing damage so to say 😅. Although the thought behind it is good, it has been criticized that in train stations they are so loud and everywhere that it’s more confusing than helpful. And you can actually find USB-C plugs on the Flexity trams in Zürich, and Swiss outlets, USB-A and C on the new train-trams of the Limmattalbahn and Waldenburgerbahn if I may add.

I could imagine a friendlier signal, like a voice saying "doors closing" like they have in some subway systems. Thanks for watching!

Nice tramride. yours looks much better than the ones we have in Göteborg. Albeit, we are getting newer ones and sorting out hte really old ones with I was on 45 years ago!!!

We still have plenty of old models, too. There's one going past 5:25 in this video. And there's an even closer look at the old one here: kzbin.infoA2FzicnohFI?si=B8_-OdUeEvwYjarE.

Great vídeo It looks much better compared to what we have here, in Porto. However, I think those panoramic windows would not work here due to the excess sunlight. Here the windows are protected from the sun, to create shade!

4:42 Eco 11? No it calls simply E11! The Letter ,,E" stands for ,,Einsatz". It's a relief for the lines 10 and 11! And no, the TINA is not a replacement for the Tango Tram but for the now over 30 years old Schindler Be 4/6 & Be 4/8!

In the Stadler catalog, my understanding is that the Tina replaces the Tango. But not in BLT service, that's right. Thanks for watching!

Looks nice and is certainly more modern than our tram fleet here in London. The seats don't look great imo, I like the wood effect panelling on the seats, but the seat fabric looks very thin and not very comfortable, whereas here in the UK all the trams use the same model of seats found on standard city buses in the UK, which all tend to be very thick and comfortable (e.g. Lazzerini-brand seats are very common on UK buses). I'm also surprised that there's no level boarding, all trams in the UK outside of Blackpool & museums have level boarding, even on the 100% low-floor trams.

I think this Tina tram does have level boarding. I didn't capture it on video, but all these low-floor trams generally do offer level boarding. That applies also to the Tango trams BLT uses, as well as all the modern ones operated by BVB, the other tram company in town.

Good video. Are you sure they're meant to replace the Tangos? I would imagine the Schindlers that still run would be the first to go. Looking forward to riding these soon!

You're right. What I was trying to get to is that I believe the Tina replaces the Tango in the product catalog of Schindler. The existing units will keep running for many years. These Tinas will replace the old models from the 70s in BLT traffic.

After seeing this model more times, I think it's something with the tram when it goes over certain types of tracks, like intersections. At those points, it's super loud!

Well they do have less beeping doors!
@Nobody-jo3tv

The beeping of the doors is due to the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz.

Fair enough. But I think this implementation is too aggressive. I'm sure there's a way to make less noise and still be accessible.

Without the beeping, how will blind people know that the doors are going to open and more importantly close??? Stop thinking just about yourself and consider those with different abilities to you
