@@TTp2630electric bikes don’t replace gas bikes, they don’t come close. When it comes to riding it wherever tf you want, pretty useable. That’s why I own both an ultra bee and an mt-09 👌 I can ride offroad day and night, and ride super fast on the street

I think this bike came with aftermarket in mind. Like you said there’s a huge amount of room on the rear to fit fat tires and I’m sure swapping out other individual parts is just as easy. Suron knew what they’re were doing with this design

That airtime at 5:54 was insane you flew higher than that tall grass, I would bet there was daylight under them tires, it was nuts. like radio the control tower for re-entry, just nuts. Like if my drivers license was laying there you would of flown over it, yeah it was easily that high, like multiple millimeters of air, pure insanity.

The stock throttle sensitivity is in F2, switch to F3 in feature setting mode, the throttle will be more sensitive

Nice video. Keep in mind that for lighter bikes on the street, wider tires are not better. You can look to the physics of it or you can just look at racing. Small light race bikes have smaller tires and can turn way better because of it.

Ive been a mountain biker my entire life and never rode moto. Last year I bought a $10k Specialized Turbo Levo Expert E-MTB. It doesn't have a throttle, just pedal assist. I have had a ton of fun riding it. I am looking at getting my first moto bike and I'm looking at either the Ultra Bee or the Storm Bee. I like that I can buy a Storm Bee for $6500. That seems very inexpensive. I'm used to spending $5k to $7k on my mountain bikes. These videos are great because I can see exactly what these bikes are and how they ride.

I love to see a more ditbike style e bike, especialy since the surrons can lack in the suspension area out of the box, However I see the "plated" part of it becoming an issue for doing wheelies around town. The regular surron can pass off more easily as a "mountain bike" but now that these are registerable as street legal its basically like doing wheelies on your actual bike, especially if you do decide to get it plated. Still awesome tho.

The difference between these two is like comparing apples to oranges. The surron X is basically an upgraded E-bike and is ridden as such while the ultra bee is a full blown electric dirt bike.

the storm bee is the full blown dirt bike. ultra bee right in the middle. X still closer to a small dirt bike like a 85cc two stroke which has similar size and weight than an ebike which has little in common

Happy with recent Surron X purchase. I think it looks better than ultra bee. Any additional features are available as an upgrade. Recently added a replacement leather seat and it is now much more comfortable to ride. Can't wait for Summer!

We are limited to the off road version of this bike in Australia. May be 2024 before we can get a street legal version. Like you say, it needs better specs anyway to be buying one for riding on the tarmac. Cheers man!

Making it road legal grants me access to go on the motorway once I have a full motorcycle license so there is plenty point in getting an ebike to be road legal, not everyone just gets things for fun, some of us want to be practical

Thought the top speed was meant to be 90kmph, 56miles. My stock talaria already does 80kmph (50m) quite happily so guess there is no major benefit there. It's already got the better seating position and is quieter than a lightbee. I was quite excited for the ultra but feel like it's not going to be my next bike. Have both a sting and a light bee in stock form and chose to ride technical and tight trails off road. They are awesome bikes, it's making me less inclined to get my petrol bike on the road again as they are to much fun and easy.

I've owned the Storm Bee for almost 2 years and the Ultra Bee since February this year. The LBX is too small for me because I'm tall. Also, I'm 100% off-road. I don't think the Ultra Bee needs any upgrades, except of course the tires. I hate it when people go upgrade crazy. I tend to strip my bikes to shed unnecessary weight. Things that the Ultra Bee are great at: hill climbing, technical single tracks, hard enduro but not really an on-road commuter or city fun bike. Get a LBX if you want on-road, stunt, hooligan bike. And if you're short. For off-road, the Ultra Bee has more than enough power. No need to upgrade battery/controller. Just tires. Some early UB owners are getting 21/18 wheel sets and rear cogs and chains but you're looking at $1000+ for such an upgrade. I just switched the rear tire to something more aggressively knobby so far without adding much rotating mass. One thing you got right: the brakes are fantastic.

I heard that 21/18 makes it unwieldy because weight with 21 and 18 is about 95kg's and it's not that slick as with stock tires and rims

@@biniu21 It's much cheaper in Mongolia. Probably due to taxes and shipping being low from Mainland China. I paid the equivalent of $5300 for my new Ultra Bee. It's the street legal version but I removed all those parts except the headlight. I will probably keep the 19" wheels due to cost and I don't want to change the weight much. It's 85kg right now (stripped) and I like the lightness. I changed the rear tire to a Motoz Terrapactor 90/100-19 which was available locally. I am interested in a 70/100-19 but I can't get it locally. So I'll have to order from the USA. That's a pain. It's okay as it is but I think there'd be a good improvement with a more aggressive knobby tire, like a Kenda. I love both my Ultra Bee and Storm Bee but for different riding situations. I probably ride the Ultra Bee more often because I live in the mountains on a steep, rocky hill. So it's more suitable for my home terrain. The Storm Bee is better on wide, tracks and dirt roads.
