It's quite literally very hard to deal with AI in this game in its current state. So I'm very glad about this overhaul and I do hope it comes asap.

anyone who thinks the current ai is "garbage" has zero perspective. this game boasts the best dynamic ai in a tactical shooter by far. obviously the more complex a system is, the more glitches and break downs there will be, it's doesn't mean it's "garbage", it means it's a work in progress, duum fuque

The AI teammates are either infuriating to work with to the point where you’d rather go Solo or they literally Beam Enemies out of your FOV from across the Map for you and save your Life. I like this update

Someone else pointed this out in another video covering this, but I hope the AI's use of shields is also automatic to a degree and doesn't require the player to order them to use it for every single "clear" command like it is now. But seeing how more aware they are of their equipmemt, it might be a thing of past. Same should go for less lethal with at least one operator covering with regular weapons seemlessly.

This is something ive been talking about with my friends for a while, they either need to add an option to choose AI count or just a solo mode, id love it if we could get a mode where youre patrol officers instead of SWAT/HRT and its just you and maybe one or two others (with the right mods and friends this is already possible obviously but if it was an official mode i feel like it would be both executed better and more balanced)

I have to be honest, I have been keeping an eye on this game since early access was available for purchase. I watched countless videos back then on how single player AI works out and it was like a chore. Today going on steam seeing Ready or Not on the front page for 1.0, I was pretty pumped and read the major update log and spotted AI improvements. Immediately I went on KZbin, came across this video...Man am I really impressed on the AI just by watching! They show independent thinking and actions without....heavy micro as some people may say lol. I have high hopes of the AI being more intelligent and precise after this huge improvement and already having it in my cart as I am typing! Cheers for putting this video out!

It always bothered me how many tactical shooters that rely on AI squadmates almost completely forget to program the AI for proper coverage in moving elements, at least in SWAT 4 your guys knew how to pull security when stacking and checking corners, but I can't tell you how many times I got domed through the back of the head in Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six Rogue Spear/ Raven Shield (both which I love) because the vanilla squadmates decided to stare at paint dry instead of scanning for threats, R6 in particular was notorious for their inability to simply breach and clear most times, but at least Raven Shield's AI knew how to take points of domination. It's a good thing they're addressing the AI issue, because dumb squadmates in team based tacshooters can literally make the game unplayable for me, so this looks to be a huge improvement imo.

0:51 I would think the reason that left AI continued looking to the left was because there's a wall to his direct right and you can briefly see the leader maintaining front coverage. A poor example, but maybe if it was an open hall right the AI would've changed his view. Regardless, can't wait for 1.0!!!

I really hope that they add the ability to call suspects/civilians out with varying levels of compliance. It really sucks that when I slice a door and see a suspect (who surrenders) I cannot tell him to walk out the door with their hands up for someone in the stack to grab. Having to continue the slice and often lose eyes on this suspect and deal with ANOTHER suspect sucks. Or worse, I am forced to always enter a room with multiple surrendering potential threats and still have a lot of unknowns to clear. Lose sight for one second and they are running or trying to kill you. I'd just love the ability to get surrendering individuals to MOVE without having to walk up to their static position and get stuck in an animation (which, on that note, being able to bail from an animation would be nice). Suspects/civilians could comply with officers completely by surrendering and walking out on command, comply only so far as surrendering but refuse to go anywhere but where they currently stand/kneel, or obviously outright ignore commands. There should also be a way to "call out" to a specific room/area for suspects to comply without having to have line of sight with said suspects. Lastly, in regards to things like active shooter/hostage rescue, there should be a way to instruct civilians to leave at officer's discretion instead of cuffing and leaving every civilian in the middle of a building currently under active shooter/bomb/hostage threat. What do you guys think? I for one just think that the "call out" ability would make the game much more realistic and enjoyable, instead of constantly having to get sucked into small rooms with multiple people at once.
