The New Tank MAUGA Is So Much FUN
This is just a video showing some Overwatch 2 Top 500 Gameplay where I play the new tank Mauga. I am currently a top 500 Reaper player in EU. So this video is just some Overwatch 2 Top 500 gameplay.
The new tank Mauga is finally out. It was a lot of fun playing him and I think he's pretty balanced but he does have a lot of counters. He's just like roadhog since he's so big and ana is his biggest counter. However, I will definitely be playing him when he fully comes out.
Overwatch 2 Top 500 wasn't that hard to hit but I have been playing since Overwatch 1. I did start on xbox and switched to PC but altogether I have around 1900 hours and 800 of them have been on Reaper.
Reaper is the reason why I got out of gold/plat hell as you can kinda 1vs5 with him due to his lifesteal. It does get harder obviously the higher you go up but if I can get top 500 anybody can because I'm not the greatest player ever. I legit play like a plat but what I do differently is I try to play with my tank most of the time or I do the funny and get a 5 man or die instantly.

Pretty certain it's just a feature now. It's been bugged since near the start of OW1.

Reaper and Mauga has such a strong synergy since with Mauga Heals and Reaper's passive, Reaper can't die and Mauga doesn't die either since they're both shredding through the enemy's HP

Me and my friend were playing mauga reaper and their ults combined is guaranteed team kill. If mauga traps everyone and reaper ults near (preferably slightly outside) the shield, it kills the entire team.

When i played him the enemy team just picked all counters and or blew me up so i feel like he needs his damage nerfed but self sustain buffed or just remove 50 health and give him 50-25 armor

Reaper mains about to go dummy lit. This is arguably the best Character drop since Kiriko Ana, Kiriko, Sig, and Mauga are my favorite characters to have dropped. The most balanced as well.

CHOICE idk if you know but left mini gun sets them on fire and right minigun does critical damage when they are on fire. So at long range, fire the left minigun until they are on fire, then use the right one to do more damage! Also you are such a cutie patootie!

Mauga is pretty balanced honestly, I don't see him being op outside of lower ranks. If anything, he'll be somewhat weak, currently his main benefit is strong gameplay into Orisa and Doomfist who have been meta picks consistently this season. If I were to buff him, I'd lean into the benefits gained by firing one weapon at a time, perhaps by making it so that not only is firing one weapon more accurate but also has less damage falloff so that he has some mid-range poke potential. Otherwise, I don't see him being consistently good.

man they nerfed the cd of ana's nade but it still feels like you can just spam that like it's nothing... if they don't want to reduce the cd even more at least they should reduce the time you stay under the effect...

It should be a 50% (or just 75% so Ana mains don't get too angry) healing reduction instead of complete negation, then they can lower the cooldown and she stays fun to play (using abilities frequently) but not so oppressive against like half of every tank in the game.
