I love the jobs these animals have Hazel is a manager at Target, Willow is retired and drawing Social Security, Waverly is a therapist, Tigger works at a funeral home, and Weezer used to be a nip nip dealer, but now that she is a Born Again Christian, she has settled to being a domestic engineer i.e. house wife, or house cat.

I also understand the fear of fireworks. As my rescue, Silver is also afraid of them, and my Brie before him. She was scared to death. Since they also hunt in this state, when Brie heard gunshots the first time, she really panicked. People dont understand pets being afraid of those sounds. My cats all freak out at the boom booms.They all watch the door,I think they think someone's breaking in or something lol.We tell them that it's ok and it can't get them and that we're here to make sure nothing gets them.They have calmed down alot.But we have fire works going of around here all the time.

We don't have fireworks for New Year's Eve. Fourth of July is different they set off the huge town display 2 blocks from my house. I haven't been able to watch for 14 years because my dog would freak out and not let me out of the house. I even doubled his meds after asking the vet and she said he could have up to 2 a day as needed but it didn't work. It's worse when the amateurs go out of state and come back with skyrockets. Crates are the best thing for puppies and dogs their own safe place if you're ever missing anything you think the dogs got hold of they're sneaky enough to hide it in their crate 😂 Good girl Hazel already the manager 🤣

I’m lucky my now almost 5 month old puppy wasn’t really very affected by it. But we went outside of town though; I chose to go to grandpa’s house because I know the people around there will not go to buy fireworks. Works for me (I grew up there, I lived in the area for decades - my childhood home is a 5 min walk from grandpa’s house, I KNOW the area and the people there. That’s why I went back there for new years) He made one whine when it started but then climbed onto my lap and chilled there. I know I’m extremely lucky! My last three cats loved to sit in the windows and watch the fireworks, even when the firework got lit really close by - one trying to swat the lights out of the sky through the window as a game - my first dog didn’t care to the point he was comfortable to walk outside at midnight. (HE was the one insisting he needed to go to the toilet, I did not want to take him out, I went. ”You were out to potty an hour ago! You can’t need to go again!” He scratched the door and started lifting his leg. So I took him out, not wanting him to pee on my friend’s new carpet. ) only weirdo animals end up with me, I believe that says enough about me; even when I’m not the one choosing? I end up with oddballs. 😅

All I know is that Myrtle was rehomed because she was so small and Hazel was playing a bit rough and Mama Mam thought that she might get hurt. So they rehomed her and got Samson who is bigger... I was thinking that a family member probably has her cuz it happened so quick... Or maybe the breeder took her back...

Agree. I had a Labrador jump out a second story window because of fear. Vet said he was in such a state of shock that he didn't kill himself. So sad these animals are terrorized and have run away many times.
