The New Tarkov VR Game is Nauseating - Ghosts of Tabor

Ghosts of Tabor is the first Tarkov style VR game and it's a banger. Ghosts of Tabor is a great new VR game, when it's working. When it's not, it's earthquake simulator. We all knew an extraction shooter VR game was coming, but I for one am impressed by how much VR enhances the gameplay. SUPER IMPORTANT INFO for those who are using the Quest 2 over airlink! Make sure to run the game in OculusVR mode, not OpenXR or SteamVR mode. The jittering is nonexistent if you run Tabor in the headset's native runtime. I had hell until I found this out, and I'm hoping that's all Habie did here, because the game is really fun as long as you don't sweat through it!

when i played the beta the steamvr version was super shaky and was killing my brain but openxr was perfectly fine. i didnt get to try oculusvr mode tho

Hi Habie! Hopefully you're launching the game the right way. My game used to be an absolute earthquake until I started playing with my Quest 2 via airlink to steam. The four start options when you boot up the game also matter, so if you're on an oculus Quest 2, I would connect to your PC via airlink, and then choose the Oculus VR option when booting the game. It's what helped me :)

About the shaking issue: It happens on the Quest 2 when you launch the game normally over the exe on your desktop but fixes itself if you start the game via your Steam library and select to launch it in Oculus mode! At least I think that's the issue as I had the same problem in the open alpha

Ghost Of Tabor is the Tarkov of VR. But there is a Metro like game called Paradox Of Hope. It’s made by one guy and it’s pretty good. It has a campaign that is not finished yet but it already has 2 chapters. And also it has Raid mode where you are sent to a procedurally generated map where you need to find loot so you can get money so you can get better guns,armor etc.

Habie on top of the earthquake fixes people have given, my recommend is go through the safe house rooms and unlock them. One of them has a shit load of starter gear for you.

If using a Meta headset and playing through steam, the “earthquake” glitch can be fixed if you run the game through steam in Oculus VR mode. No more shakes, hope that helps!

To fix the shaking run the game in oculus VR mode. This is found by clicking on game properties in steam. Also, good vid 👍!

The slight shaking is fixed by changing graphics settings to around and applying then going back to the ones you had before. Works for me on Quest 2 with link on oculus version of the game

It’s really great how much progress they’ve made already. The shaking can be stopped by laughing in “oculus VR mode” from steam. The game actually has some of the best tracking I’ve seen In VR if you’re running the right mode!

With a quest 2 linked to pc, run it in oculus mode. Solves most of the jank. Also, you can adjust your hud in the settings. You can remove the red fade completely if it bothers you.

I’ve been playing this on the quest 2 (no pc) and it’s been running pretty well. Only ran into a few bugs in some raids but it’s to be expected. I think this game has insane potential and will be a big vr game in the future

HABIE you can pull the box of ammo out and load the Ammo cartridge by cartridge just like in into the radius since you liked the immersion so much hope this helps Oh yeah and remove everything from your body before exiting the game or it will disappear. You're the best vr creator keep at it!
