@@watslockandkey the pizza restaurants from the game five nights at Freddy's has animatronic performers that can move around and don't have their feet nailed to the floor like normal pizzeria and are seen as scary things because of their unnatural nature

perseverance rover is awesome but if it was humanoid robot. it would move so much easier and reach more places in difficult terrains meanwhile on earth ...i can't walk so i would love an optimus bot to help me. maybe even be my friend

You strike me as how a Digital Superintelligence would communicate to “lay low”. Lol. If you are a human, I’m sorry you can’t walk…but you should know it will happen in your lifetime! Tech is going to give you the ability to RUN, let alone walk

It's higly improbable the robot will have a battery pack that can run it for 4 days. As you can see most of the actuators are direct drive brushless motors, or low geared motors, 28 in total. Lets assume the shouders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles are the most power consuming, (500W/10 actuators) each servo would only have 50 watts peak output when in use simultaneously... And thats not accounting for the other 18 actuators, optics, sensory positioning and computing. With such low power for the main actuation a life size bot won't be able to stand up from a seating position, let alone lift something else if it can't support even it's own weight. I know why the bot is called optimus, the figures presented are probably highly overoptimistic. But still, it is an incredible feat of engineering and i am not saying they won't get there eventually. If anyone can do it it's tesla. But there are a lot of obstacles to overcome and when they finally will have an end product within specs, they will probably be totally different from these estimates.
