Totally agree about the water connection being exposed. I'm also worried that the thickness and seal of both garage doors aren't going to hold back the heat and cold to the main living area. They should switch the location of the Frig with the sink and 2-burn that way they can add a folding extension on the end (similar to the Prism). I wish all the windows had the Screens/Blackout shades, similar to the prism. The garage/mobile bed is the best idea! The dinette redesign, another smart move.

The upper cabinet in the kitchen needs struts to hold the doors open. People will be using those cabinets a lot and putting stuff in the cabinets while having to hold the door open is a pain. The doors in the cabinets over the dinette are much better.

Even though it has extra batteries, I would still want a generator for backup and that would help dry camping in case you don't get direct sunlight. It is close to perfect!!!

It's a Dometic fridge! Hope it's not a 3 way fridge because they don't work. RVers end up using them for storage. Pleasure Way finally stopped using them. This RV looks cheap. sorry.

I looked at this RV with Matt in Maryland and passed because the bed was too Difficult to access. WOW that electrical bed lift and pass through to the garage are a Total Game Changer!!! Also glad to see they added a back up and side Cameras (Which were not offered back then)... I would own one of these right now IF these changes were on the 2020 model year...

Great update with the new bed! Along those lines, I've never understood WHY no one has ever done the same thing with the dreaded 'corner' beds in a lot of the smaller Class C rv's. It would be great if a corner bed could lift UP and away during the day for a more flexible space such as an office or lounge space.

The bathroom is great for such a small motor home, but I’m not liking the dinette as the only place to sit, the impossible to make bed, and what good is huge storage compartment if you have to empty it out every time you lower the bed???

It looked like the bed didn't go all the way down to fill that space. See the video when they are outside -- after lowering the bed. There's still space under the bed. If you filled the space with stuff, you just don't lower the bed.

The price IS quite reasonable. However, the EKKO has so much more-capable equipment, including solar, all-wheel drive, etc. As an example, there can be no absorption refrigerators for me. A very pricey Norcold four-door absorption fridge set fire to my diesel pusher when the chemicals leaked out the back tubing onto wiring, shorting out the electricity. On the positive side, it looks like you can get out the back of the RV if there is a fire and the fumes/chemicals did not get you first, assuming one can get out from inside the back cargo area. I am definitely considering the EKKO and the Beyond. Just sayin'.

Well Matt...Love the reviews but we rarely agree. The 2020 version was so much nicer. I agree that a pass thru to the storage would have been great, but it still kept the storage out of the living space. Now it’s like living in a toy hauler that has zero outdoor storage so every single thing and all the smells that go with them are inside your living space, and you have to move most of it before you can lower the bed. What would have been awesome is to have kept the separation and massive storage from 2020 with a fold out stair case for the “old people” and an access panel for the cats & dogs. As it currently sits the 2021 layout is a major fail.

I agree. I want that storage space for a mini bike, inflatable boat and motor and other outdoor goods. Many European models have had for years a "garage" option. I love your observation of the smell and losing that wonderful space which is what attracted me to this model along with the AWD. They should offer the option of having a lift on the bed. Many of us do not need this option which only adds cost to the unit and something else to go wrong and needs repair and again, taking space away from the wonderful garage!

I agree. I do like both models, and think that they should have kept most of the things in the 2020 model, but just with some upgrades - interior access point to the garage or a cat/dog door, folding stairs leading up to the bed, struts on the cupboards and an option for a porcelain toilet. As you mentioned, you don't see the cargo in the living area and you don't get the smells that can be emitted. I like the 2021 version because the bed is on a strut and, therefore, easier for people to get into (when they struggle to climb those stairs). The bathroom sink could be bigger, especially the countertop surrounding it, but you've got to sacrifice something for the awesome wardrobe storage! Maybe some hardware, such as a toothbrush and toothpaste holder, a floating shelf... They should offer both floorplans (two separate floorplans), just with the upgrades. That would be ideal and would possibly make everybody happy.

Great job but I think there should be a locking mechanism that you can lock while inside the coach where your bed is on both sides of the lifts the door lifts cuz that is easy access into your coach and that's not safe

Security is my biggest concern with the new lift bed. Why has no one thought of this before implementing this change mid season? We ordered ours, put down a deposit and then found out later that it would no longer be an enclosed living space. Cargo doors are too easy to open and the last thing I want is someone to have easy access to me while I'm sleeping or my entire motorhome if I'm gone for the day. The structure around the cargo doors is flimsy so even with locks it isn't hard to pull them open. It doesn't have the same larger metal frame around it that the entry door has on it. Plus there is no way to get ON the bed if you have your cargo in the back. There's no ladder, nothing. I'm certainly not going to put my gear outside so I can lower the bed to get into it. There's no place to attach a ladder either. Not well thought out if you ask me (and it looks cheap and unfinished). They should not have made such a major change mid season after people already ordered thinking they were getting the other model. They should have made it an option rather than changed everything mid-season. Sure, we can fix it but it will cost us a lot of $$$ and labor to get it back to what we ordered and regain some security.

It's not a flub, the Cross Trek has AWD as an option and has since last year. And it's not a Class B; it's a Class C. We have both a real B (Travato) and a 20xg Cross Trek and there is a big difference between the two.

They should promote a built-in inflatable mattress for the lower bed storage section and this would be a huge seller! Great presentation by both of you. The 3,000 watt inverter is truly amazing for this class. It generally provided via expensive diesel pushers. I impress with the rear storage and with vertical lift bed. One dislike, you cannot order factory installed navigation in any of the Cross Trek motorhomes. Best, Steve & Deb from Western Mass.

Good call on what I refer to in my mind as "kenneling!". I have a cat and small dog and once I sell my house in a few months, I know we could end up staying in whatever type RV I choose for extended time so everything I research is with an eye towards that. Coachmen, listen, you need to borrow 2 things from your sister products: (1) Get the new 12v compressor fridge from the new Nova 20C; then, reconfigure the kitchen by relocating the fridge next to the shower and add a countertop extension next to the door. (2) Get the 12v AC from the Beyond (it’s very quiet), so that you only would need to turn the inverter on when using the microwave (and other 120v devices) this will drastically reduce the inverter’s parasitic power drain.

Love this little Coach! Likes: #1 Solar & Lithium #2 Construction and chassis. Love how the cab joins to the coach-seamless! #3 Storage...AWESOME!!!!! BUT Dislikes :( #1 Needs ducted heat and AC which DOES need a built in gen or a compartment dedicated to store a portable inverter/gen and gas either a 2 gallon gas can or 20lb lp bottle for dual power inv/gen #2 A curtain to separate the bottom of the bunk from the storage area and living area. #3 a 8 CF 12V fridge and do away with that elevated countertop (maybe a 10 CF 12V would fit? AND a OVEN :) Since it's so dependent on battery power it would be a great candidate for one of the Bluetti lithium power station. I LOVE this coach!!!! Perfect for Boondocking!

I really like the layout, but I think if they switched the placement of the sink/cooktop and fridge around they could add a counter extension to the end to make more prep space. A convection oven, and microwave combination would have been nicer. Also, an induction cooktop would have given even more prep area. Love the lift! Great idea for people with pets. Although I could see the grand kids loving an air mattress down there as well!

As two single sisters we have started to watch your reviews to figure out what we want in the future when we are both retired. This RV is really something we would consider; but in our dreams we are also looking for something with twin beds, and hook ups for our CPAPs. So Solar on the roof is one of our wishes. The fix raised bed would have been fine when I was younger. I like that the bed can be lowered, the storage when traveling, access to the storage area for pets and supplies. I like any storage, including the bathroom. I prefer covered water connections for a clean look. I haven’Thad them before on my small rev & trailers, so it doesn’t bother me. For 60+ and traveling with a wife and dogs, and wanting something small, I would look at this model and the large Crosstreks.

Ok, since you say Coachman listens.......this is for any RV, how about a place to set a cpap machine with a place to plug it in by the bed??? Supposedly over 8 million people in the US use cpaps and that's growing by 8 or 9% every year!

They mention it when the RV has a space for a CPAP, some do, either dedicated (space in an overhead cabinet with plug in and a port to run the hose down to the sleeper) or one or more nightstands with electrical outlets. I agree, no accommodation for a CPAP is a deal breaker. I have a portable battery operated backup unit for tent camping, but if I’m glamping, I want my full setup with humidifier and heated hose.

I absolutely love this RV. Here comes the however. If you are travelling with a dog the floorspace is very narrow. If the dianette was on a shallow slide out it would be absolutely perfect. Three things I love -- the bed/storage combo, the bathroom, the ford transit. Three things I don't like -- hate the fridge, no All Wheel Drive option, no 4 season capability. It would also be nice to have an induction cooktop option. I see this as being a real possibility for both a daily driver and weekend adventure vehicle for some folks while others could outfit it so they could go out on the road for months at a time. For anyone with kids this is a fantastic option as long as it has enough seat belts.

Love Matts reviews of smaller RVs - much better to hear from someone who is not really a fan. I think the bed is a game changer as it allows way more options of how to set up the RV. Overall it looks more comfortable than Ekko to me - and of course a lot cheaper.

Loved looking at all the older, used Rv’s. Only downside was you didn’t mention pricing on all on all of them. I could have missed it I guess but would be great for the price to be on the screen. Thanks!

Get rid of the sink in the bathroom all together and add more storage! There is a kitchen sink close enough, you could almost wash your hands still on the toilet. I like the lift bed, but why have that if you're looking at standing bikes and such underneath? There should still be a ladder of sorts in case people have a bunch of stuff stored in that storage space.

Can it be parked in city parking? Don't like absence of generator. Don't like that there is no cover for hookups. You will need rear storage for table and chairs, etc. for outside living. But I like that you are bringing a shower, toilet and bed on small chassis.

Nice RV… I saw a review of the AWD Extreme version recently… I like the rear storage but it sure would be nice to have a queen size bed so as to accommodate two full size persons. Cut down on the bath space slightly and it’s possible. Either that or eliminate the forward seat for the dinette as the cab seats rotate thus there’s redundancy in the seating.

I had shared that model on the club art deco with the automatic bed my share was that when they introduced that model with that bed that they did not put trim around those storage doors in the bedroom now it looks like it's finished much better.

This is so much better than any class B on the market, and at half the price! It makes much better sense and is still as maneuverable as B. A dinette slide would be a plus, but I don't think it has the CCC to handle it.

WOW! Brilliant redesign! I never entertained the idea of a bed that raised and lowered. Space for pets INSIDE the cabin (under the bed) when the best we imagined in last years design was a hole to the outside storage. And how about a bunk for visiting kids snuggled beneath the bed? I’m all for cabinets that open to the side (as over the dinette.) so small items can be affixed inside rather than those up-down types. BUT: Where’s the ladder to the roof? How about screens for the large storage doors? Put the solar plug inside near the ceiling close to the panels on the roof. And...bathroom door open to the kitchen (instead of against the bed), to permit a pull up/drop down counter space in the kitchen. Good work on this!
