Pedals will be on the rig tomorrow and testing starts, I should have the comparison up by the weekend all going well!

Yes, how pedals feel is the more important thing for me. :)

From the discussions I've had with the devs, the decision to go with a rodless throttle design was to minimize friction. The pedals were in testing for over a year with several of the Coanda PESC drivers, and the consensus was that the friction from earlier rodded designs led to small amounts of throttle sticking, bouncing and undesirable response times. From a competitive standpoint, that wasn't ideal, so a resign was done. I'd be very surprised if they didn't do a full analysis on the force curve to check for any non linearities in the rodless design. Based on Coanda's PESC results this year I'd say they accomplished their goal of producing pedals ideal for competition, and I'm eagerly awaiting to hear what the community thinks overall about the "feel". Personally I'm pretty excited to try them out for myself in a few months when there is more availability.

Yes agree totally. The smoothness of both throttle and the brakes is another level and will certainly appeal to drivers looking for any gains in these areas.

Not sure about the no rod in the throttle pedal design, makes me hesitant for a future purchase.

Yeah, it doesn't work. Good spot though. But I tried that straight away.

Yeah. Im no engeneer.. (like Nils Heusinkveld) but when a spring can flex any random way, wont that make the feel of the pedal be a bit different everytime?
@SmokingSteelGarage
@SmokingSteelGarage 3 жыл бұрын
In theory over time its not good, and yes by exposing one area of the spring to more force initially I believe there would be a difference in feel. Only testing will tell, I'm hoping the data will quell my fears.

the adjustment looks horrific. but with dampers its gonna be a good deal. OH wow the dampers are not included 900 is still good as they should compete with the ultimates
@SmokingSteelGarage
@SmokingSteelGarage 3 жыл бұрын
Adjustment is not as easy as the Sprints and that's a huge pain in the ass for some who jump from car to car. The dampers are not being released for a few more weeks, but once they arrive I will do a review.

Still not managed to get hold of them yet. But tbh they really don't need them. They are very good as is.

And the 200kg loadcell, dont indicate how much it is "on the pedal". Hmm.. Im sounding negative. But i actually looked forward for these. And switching my sprints. Just out of curiosity.. 🙈 But now Im looking forward to this review is done... 😅

I'm nervously awaiting the first drive tomorrow as well. I love my sprints, and I really want these to be better, but secretly inside I also want the sprints to stay! I'm trying to stay neutral though to give good feedback,

Only thing missing on the VRS is the smart software that the sprints have. For me to change these would need to be a lot better in performance. Can’t wait for your review as your reviews are honest and not biased like some of those larger guys who review these things.

140Kg on the pedal ;) VRS said that on there discord. More information about the Tie Rod would be nice :) And a manual from VRS would be also nice :D Can't understand how they release a product with so much settings you can choose from and no manual available.
@SmokingSteelGarage
@SmokingSteelGarage 3 жыл бұрын
@@maas7740 Yes its a bit concerning I cannot understand either why such a basic addition has been overlooked, hopefully they take note and remedy it for the second batch rollout. VRS quote 120kg of force on the brake pedal with the Red spring fitted, but the loadcell is rated at 200kg however the design of the pedal dictates the final force somewhat.

They do look nice, unfortunately availability looks like being the fail point for me, all I can get are pictures and no sign of being able to buy these any time soon, they lol nice though, apart from that weird throttle spring, not pretty..

It does, I totally agree. However it does work very well. And I feel much better now I can't see it when its mounted on the rig. 😂
