Sonny M. Lifelong Resident of Boston's North End talks about the "New Wise-guys"
Oral History Definition:
Oral history is a field of study and a method of gathering, preserving and interpreting the voices and memories of people, communities, and participants in past events. Oral history is both the oldest type of historical inquiry, predating the written word, and one of the most modern, initiated with tape recorders in the 1940s and now using 21st-century digital technologies.
When using oral history as a source material, several caveats exist. The person being interviewed may not accurately recall factual information such as names or dates, and they may exaggerate. To avoid this, interviewers can do thorough research prior to the interview and formulate questions for the purpose of clarification. There also exists a pre-conceived notion that oral history is less reliable than written records. Written source materials are different in the execution of information, and that they may have additional sources. Oral sources identify intangibles such as atmosphere, insights into character, and clarifications to points made briefly in print. Oral history can also indicate lifestyle, dialect and terminology, and customs that may no longer be prominent.

I grew up here. This guy's proper old Boston. My mom came over from Napuli and my father from Sicily. People think drugs is some kind crime that don't hurt nobody, but it destroys familys. The thing is that people need legalized drugs so nobody goes to jail. People need to keep bread on the table.

Indeed he is. Sonny is basically a cousin to me, we were related through marriage. He is a classic. Go watch him in the videos I posted called Abracadabra (on this channel). He plays a perfect mob boss! He's a very good actor. Good enough to get into the Screen Actors Guild. Glad you're watching. More to come. Thanks!

You see in NY back in late 70’s 80’s the five families in NY we’re smart they” farmed out” a lot of work to the “underlings” (associates) mostly black Latino that had a little ties here and there even the HIT work it was easier to do it that way since so many made guys had the Feds following them around constantly around the city for every little thing.back then the other ethnic groups bought wholesale from the Italians and if it was drugs they only had designated areas they could move it around too. Everybody played by the rules but as soon as that crack cocaine hit the East coast it was rap, it was a free for all the money was coming in so fast the bosses couldn’t control it anymore bosses said no an guys were like “if I invest 1,000 dollars on a G Pack an at end of the week I can make 20 thousand then how can the bosses stop that? Plus boss is getting xtra on the vig too it’s too tempting to stop😂

Interesting...the old-time bosses were great businessmen, but drugs, greed, their stupid youngin's, and RICO were their downfall. Just my opinion.

It’s still alive and well just more quiet the early mob bosses knew drugs would be the ruin of it all that why they either paid there crew extra or threatened there life if caught dealing drugs
