If it had got its rangefinder & thermals from the dev server it would’ve made for a pretty fun fox alternative trading speed for situational awareness & gun control. Instead now we literally just get a slower tracked fox with worse turret traverse. Really nothing you incentivise playing the scimitar once you have the fox. Not sure why they couldn’t be foldered

with T-55s, the layer of floor armor right below the side of the hull is around 20mm so if you fire a round inbetween the roadwheels, you could one shot the tank with the Scimitar's APHE round.

Yea thats where you aim with like the Falcon or the 35mm on the gepard with regular APHE, Just the Scimitar cannon fires so slowly if you miss the shot you are dead.

They said something about a 30mm APDS nerf so that's why they kept it at 7.7.

@@DawgIVLife If they nerf the 30mm APDS, the Scimitar becomes COMPLETELY useless at 7.7. They could give it a stabilizer and thermals, but to what end? I'm thinking about the US M551(76mm) and its seems better than this tank in every aspect and its at 7.0.

The fox has to be my favorite vehicle in the game and its not even close. But if it gets its apds nerfed that would be unfair to the warrior and this new peice of crap. The only way to punish the fox would be to move it up to like 8.7 or something insane. I bring it with the 8.3 SPAA lineup and it does just fine since you should be side/rear shotting everything anyway.

It’s mid but just like many British vehicles it’s not even close to its irl performance. In the real world it’s governed to 50mph it’s literally the fastest tank in the world it can do 70mph without the governor. And have image intensification sights. Not to mention the harriers not having the flight performance they should have. And many other issues the scimitar should be almost able to keep up with the fox but it can’t even out accelerate mbts.

Yeah, British vehicles are the most nerfed in game easily. The only vehicles that are still somewhat similar to their actual performance are from 1.0-2.0, everything onwards is nerfed heavily. Gaijin just hates Britain man, and it’s sad.

@ it’s annoying the FCS shouldn’t extra the fun is gas operated and the turret and laying drive are hydraulic assisted manual like you have to crank it yourself no electric stuff. I also made a bug report with lots of flight manuals and even the report from NASA with there studies of a TAV-8A trainer harrier and its turn performance was much better then what even the gr3 can match in game. Best part about it was the trainer harrier turns better without even going over the wing buffet onset.

@ lol yeah but it’s also money based gaijin probably makes most there money off Russia and USA and as we know most prem players are trash and if they had a vehicle on par or worse then there opposition they wouldn’t want to play or buy. Now I’ve heard it said before the the UK is the best nation to play if you want to get good bc the only way to do good as a uk main is to be good lol. Imagine is you had uk mains that are good with good vehicles that are really good scary. I have a 56% win rate on the FA2 with a k/d ratio of around 1.2 and I very rarely shoot ai planes

Jeah i kinda went over the statcard Yesterday and thought why would i ever want to bring it im my 7.7 Lineup? The whole point of The fox is beeing a fast lunatic but this thing isnt even fast. So if i want to chill scout i go aml 90 and otherwise just rock the Conq or Centurion. There is no reason to even research it.

The upgraded version does get thermals and rangefinder but still no stab, also the current scimitar we have is the base version

Its the same cannon as the Warrior and fox, The APHE belt is stock on all of them but once you get the APDS belt you can kill tanks from the side.

I'm pretty sure the worst tank (or at least tracked vehicle) in the game is the Type 60 ATM, though the Zachlam Tager is also pretty awful

The Scimitar isn't a bad vehicle, it's just actually balanced at 7.7 unlike the Fox. I don't know why they didn't move the Fox to 8.0 in the last BR changes rather than threaten some ambiguous "future apds change" to try and solve it.

@@DawgIVLife I think I should have explained what I meant because I came across a tad contrarian. Before the most recent BR changes Gaijin was using the Fox over performing at 7.7 as grounds to nerf the Rarden's APDS round sometime in the near future rather than just moving it up in BR like they did with the XM-800T. I wasn't making a blanket "Fox is OP" statement, because Gaijin has already said as much when it comes to statistics. I'm a mainly UK player myself and quite like the Fox after all. It's just that staying at that BR is going to be an excuse for Gaijin to nerf the other Rarden vehicles in the future, ie. the Warrior and now the Scimitar, which are going to suffer disproportionately because they don't have the insane mobility to compensate. The Scimitar has some serious issues with its driving model as it stands, it should be faster than it is and it has some odd oversteer characteristics when turning that I hope can be fixed. On a personal level, I can't speak to the T-114 but I would take the Scimitar over an AML-90 even in its current state, but that's just a subjective taste thing. lol

Complaining that you can't pen the Maus with this thing just gives me brain rot. Of course there will be enemies you will struggle against, but that doesn't mean you cant be helpfull to your team in other ways. It's a light scout, fighting is it's secondary role.

The point isn't that it can't pen the maus majority of the tanks it faces you can't pen from the front, which means you need to have good positioning which the Scimitar can't do. Meanwhile you have the fox at the same battle rating that can get into good positions scout very well and effect the match by actually killing targets.
