Haha, I found your overlays really interesting and compelling, though it’s true the story that goes with them gives them context that isn’t apparent from the prints alone. One persons waste of film really can be another persons art!

The Old Camera Guy said that Phoenix was more suited for overcast days than very sunny days. On what I have seen here on KZbin the results in overcasted England are very much better than in sunny California (or Utah).

That is exactly what I believe as well. It didn't make the cut because I came to that realization right after the video came out. But, I certainly agree with that.

I haven’t shot a roll just yet, but based on what I’ve seen on KZbin I came to this conclusion as well. Photos taken in harsh light situations look pretty 🗑️

Wow, how blunt, I love it! Your vids are refreshing, like cool blue gatorade in the sporty bottle way. I have a roll of this film and am pondering when and where and how to shoot it, eventually Ill just do what I like. Keep up the good work! 🎉

Other people and myself have echoed that you can get the best results in overcast settings! But, shoot it however you please! Thanks for the well wishes!

Great choice on the topic of this video. im really interested in this new film as a beginner film photographer. this is the reason why im giving film a chance. coming from digital where everything is very clear and really high quality, it intrigues me to be able to capture this type of mood purely with the intrinsic nature of this film. it's like listening to 90s grunge music but visually :) very excited to see how this film progresses through time. i like your vibe bro u got urself a subscriber. if i may criticize one thing, the video really started for me and hooked me at around minute 8. i didn't really get the point of the first 8 minutes and the majority of it seemed a bit off topic to me.

Welcome to the film drug! Film is so versatile in experience that digital just can't replicate. I appreciate the polite criticism and the way you offered insight. I'm still kind of figuring out this whole KZbin thing and I think I miss the mark sometimes. I'm definitely working on it and I want to improve. But again, thanks for doing so politely. It definitely inspires change more so than a harsh comment. :)

I'm always disillusioned when someone reviews a film and recommends it. But when I shoot a roll, I'm extremely disappointed. Of all the new film stocks I've tried in the last 2 years, I only really liked Adox ColorMission 200. I did not like Cinestill 400D. I did not like Orwo NC400. With Cinestill 400D and Orwo NC400, colors were good and mostly accurate most of the time. But when the colors were not accurate, the color was horrible. With Adox ColorMission 200, it had a unique look, colors were unique and close to accurate, but there were no glaring issues. I'll be shooting Harmon Phoenix next. Based on everything I've read and seen on KZbin videos, I'll primarily shoot Phoenix indoors, some with artificial light, some in natural light. We'll see.
