I’ve been watching the Newlywed Game since the 60’s….. and love ol’ Bob … but I enjoy this version also. It’s a faster, more competitive pace.

Kroger sucks. He is not barbecue that’s for sure. This is like going from Bob Barker to true Carrie for God sake lol horrible. This wasn’t a newlywed game this was people playing in their living room. Just not fun. Just ridiculous and what is with the whole thing of only having three couples?there was another reboot of this game were they only had three couples. There’s supposed to be four couples. They’re always has been always should be. Just look like a cheap version supposed to be garbage, pure garbage.

@@creatorschild8247 Me, too, plus Kroeger's Version was more entertaining to me and I like Gary's Theme the best, very jazzy and very catchy (but I like the 80's theme to Bob's Version better than the original) also, Kroeger would host Beat the Clock on PAX TV and he was more comfortable on there than on TNG

Watching this one with Kroger is like going from watching Bob Barker on the prices right to Drew Carrie. What a train wreck. Even years later, I still can’t stand through Carrie.

It wasn’t but the husband or wife humiliate. It was would your wife take $50 to put the pie in her face and humiliate you on television. Ever wondered why they never did anything like this with wife as the recipient? All the stupid stuff because this isn’t the first one. It’s always done to the husband. What happened to equal right and all of that lollet’s be clear Bob Lily Game is the new Game thing. I don’t know what that shit was supposed to be.

He hosted the show from 1966-1974 then in syndication 1977-1980, 1985-1988 and 1997-1999. He has also hosted a few celebrity episodes in the 21st century

So let’s talk about that second so-called version of a newlywed game with Kroger. It’s funny every time I hear the word Kroger I think of the grocery store. Anyway, that was not the newly wedding again. No other answers should be known ahead of time to host for one. That was one of the key selling points on the original show was Bob Eubanks sincere reactions to them. Bob was more than a game show host. This guy here is just a cookie cutter game show host. Kind of like Drew Carrie. Both lacking in personality. In my opinion. I’ve heard people say that this one here is faster paste. Really? Because I don’t know what this is, but it isn’t a newlywed game. I think this would’ve been a good game on its own if it wasn’t under the banner of the wood gang. You could’ve named it couples. Kept the same premise of what they have here and it might be a good game. But when you compare it to the original, it just doesn’t hold up. Now I know it will have its fans. Those who think it’s better.and you’re entitled that opinion. Even though it’s wrong but you are entitled to it lol I got about halfway through this episode and I could not watch anymore. I don’t have the extra minutes of my life to waste on this.
