The Next Coaster to be Removed from Each Cedar Fair Park

This is my opinion of what the next coaster removal would be from each Cedar Fair park, before the merger with Six Flags. What do you agree or disagree with?

I didn't realize there was some sound of the coasters on a couple of the clips. I will try to edit those out. Also, I made this video before Knott's made the announcement about Montezooma.

There is talk that Flight Deck and Time Warp are going sometime. Just don't know when. Canada's Wonderland is my home park.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Michigans adventure is my home park for 40+ years and they Should RMC W.W. They could also re-track Shivering Timbers into a GCI and even restructure the layout if they wanted. Theres a lot of un-used land there they could build a much bigger park with quite a few new coasters among other flat rides. That whole park has potential to become bigger and better but will C.F. ever put the money into it? ....time will tell.

I just think the park makes money as is without Cedar Fair needing to do much to it, so they don't feel the need to invest much money into the park.

Really hope that you are right about CGA's coasters being safe for the moment! Would suck if they started removing stuff before next spring, I really gotta head out there around then before it closes!

I met my wife at Invertigo, I was the area supervisor and she was a new associate. That was at Paramount's Great America back then, 2003. Now it's California's Great America in Santa Clara, CA.

KD isn't going to be removing any coasters anytime soon. They're gonna retheme anaconda to better fit within jungle X pedition so it's not going anywhere anytime soon and once the new wing coaster opens next season if anything attendance will improve dramatically and give cedar fair reason to continue to invest in the park.

If one coaster was to be removed next, I would think it would have to be Anaconda though but that is just my opinion. I am just not a big fan of the coaster either.

Cedar Point: Gemini Kings Island: Racer (honestly nothing here seems likely to get removed unless kings island pulls another vortex) Kings Dominion: Anaconda (kings dominion has a record of getting rid of attractions nowhere near the end of their service life) Carowinds: Vortex (why this hasn't been relocated yet is beyond me) Knott's Berry Farm: Xcelerator (not likely but nothing else seems even close to being removed other than ghostrider but j doubt it'll get RMCd) Canada's Wonderland: Wilde Beast (its rough and unpopular just RMC it......) Worlds Of Fun: Timber Wolf (I think this has a very high chance of getting RMCd they'll still have 2 woodies left over and this is their worst one anyways so RMC it) California's Great America: Railblazer (this is the only coaster here that's 100% getting relocated after this park closest Dorney Park: Wild mouse (I think every coaster is safe here though for another 20 years) Valleyfair: Corkscrew Michigan's Adventure: Wolverine Wildcat

Gemini would be my next pick for Cedar Point. Oh I am not a fan of Vortex at Carowinds at all. I don't really think Racer is going anywhere personally.

The only place I will disagree with you on is Michigans Adventure. The reasoning is that last year, a good section was retracked. Your video actually shows it very well. Its the part after the drop and first turnaround. You can see how well it runs through that section, only to start jackhammering after that 2nd turnaround. For the 2024 season, I have seen info online that makes it look like the rest of the ride is being retracked. Given how ST ran last year, WWC has the potential to run better than Timbers does this year. Timbers had some bad jackhammering in the valleys last year so I am hoping they work on that too. I would say Thunderhawk has the biggest chance of removal. They won't even upgrade it to the new trains.

I don't know about your Carowinds pick. Nighthawk seems the most logical for removal. Hurler can be fixed, but Nighthawk is complex, has too many moving parts, is slow loading, and has been discontinued. Once all those train parts are worn out, it's a wrap.

I would pick Vortex for removal at Carowinds, it's old, rough and probably not worthy of a floorless conversion, At least Nighthawk is unique unlike Vortex.

@@markvolpe2305 they just repainted Vortex this year and Nighthawk last year, so realistically they both have a while before being removed

@@markvolpe2305yeah. But unfortunately parks look at it from a popularity standpoint. And vortex and is surprisingly popular. Same with hurler. They both will have decent lines on any given day when they are running. I do believe nighthawk will be the first. It may be unique. But it was down almost all of last year 2023. And has been eh on reliability since 2015. Plus it’s the most rough one on this list. Sure hurler is technically rougher. But it can be retracted pretty cheaply. Nighthawk can’t. Plus good luck getting old Vekoma track to use

Hurler just got its 4th turn rebuilt ground up, so I hope it stays, but as we know from previous experience, Carowinds does work on woodies, then removes them unexpectedly, kinda wasteful. Nighthawk was janky, rough and unstable feeling, but it was tolerable. I have yet to ride Vortex, its been closed both times I've been. I think their next removal would be Vortex, but floorless trains could save it. A Gravity Group refurb could save Hurler, like it did for KD Grizzly. I'm not sure what can be done for Nighthawk, not only is it's track messed up, but it's electronics are near extinct and kinda outdated, with only it and Batwing being the last 2 in existence. When I went on opening day, Nighthawk was knocked out for around a hour because something was up with one of the seats, and the lowering system I guess. I don't suppose anything could be done for it.
