you know I heard through several views that this ball hooks early and rolls out. I hurt my back at work, so I needed to make a change in my approach. Instead of getting down low on my release I kept my back straight and just tried to stay behind the ball at release. I found that I had better control and the ball did not roll out at the pocket. I was a low 200-average bowler years ago (2016). Since then I've struggled since then to carry a low 180 average. With this latest change, I'm back at about in the low 200-average again. I love this ball. The plus is I don't need a spare ball to pick up the 10-pin, YES. Great video, keep it up Packy.

This urethane ball looks like a really good step up from a purple tank. Double Cross seems a bit too strong of a urethane to play more straight but seems to be good when you want to have a bit more shape down lane

Funny story, I saw Packy a couple weeks back at Pet Smart. Was about to approach him and say hi when he started full-on barking at the caged birds! It looked like he was antagonizing them on purpose, they were freaking out in their cage, flying around distraught due to this Packy perturbation... I clearly recall seeing saliva dripping from his mouth while he growled like a mutt at these poor parakeets, all the while grinning ear-to-ear from his own amusement. Suddenly, he stopped - a neutral expression overtook his face and he called over an employee. The employee was visibly confused as to why these birds were in such a state of panic and rushed towards them, apologizing to Packy on the way over. That's when Packy took his chance and grabbed the key to the bird cage right off of the Pet Smart employee's keychain and in a few heartbeats had opened the latch, releasing the birds all over the store. He then threw the key into one of the many fish tanks on the wall of the store and ran towards the exit - an automatic door - where he stayed for a few moments so as to leave ample opportunity for the hysterical birds to escape. That's when I saw Brad Miller walk in - and boy Packy's incident pales in comparison to what happened next, I'll say that.

I plan on getting a faball black hammer sand to 220 grit wet sand paper on ball spinner. and drilling pin above my ring finger and compare to the black hammer remake.same layout original black verse black remake.

Just out of curiosity. Why a 3 inch pin to PAP? With your rev rate and the fact urethane already reads the lane pretty quickly; why not a 4.5 - 5 inch pin to PAP? I am a two hander as well and my wheelhouse is 30 degrees by 4.5 on symmetricals.

Weaker than a Purple, stronger than a Black... might be worth checking out. I already have a purple, and a urethane weaker than a Black... and want something in between. Also can't wait for the new urethane Hammers supposedly coming next year.

If your just starting out I would recommend a raw hammer it’s a great starter piece with more hook than any ball at that price!!

I am a two hand bowling can you use three hole if you occupies the thumb hole with your left ring finger?

I would suggest you use all to holes designated the way they should, you have to have a finger occupying each of the holes that are on the ball

there really is no major difference in these new urethane balls and the reactive balls now, the new urethane balls hook as much as a lot of the reactive and maybe it's because of the higher rev rate of 2 handers, but the old urethane balls hook like today's plastic balls. ( very little ) No real need for these new urethane balls now that they hook so much more than what a true urethane ball is supposed to hook.

watching you review a new ball once or twice a week is nuts. that's probably 75 to 100 new balls from just one company annually. do all pros have 150 balls or more stored at home? how confusing to know what to use . it seems the more successful pros use just a few specific balls and are not hawking a "new and improved" ball every week.

Fair criticism: why not compare to the Purple redux instead of the OG? Honestly, I think that might provide a better litmus compared to the Hopkinsville pour. Also, is it wrong to think that the shell is a lot thinner than expected for the Double Cross? It definitely looks like it fits the in-between that you've mentioned.

Why do pros always seem to cut off the tops of their grips instead of cutting the bottoms some and then lining them up at the top flush? I would think the sharp cut edges would damage fingers more.

Constructive criticism... You have too much "bounce" in your swing. The reason why you are spraying your lines. You are either a little off left or right and forward back distance. You are good with shaping the ball with your hand position and release which a lot of two handers struggle with... Your problem is a consistent arm swing and not bouncing if that makes sense. I hate to use balmo as an example but if you do watch his arm swing it's very locked hinge type.. it looks like you're trying to hold the weight of the ball and bounce too much. If you watch your throws you can almost pick out exactly when you're going to strike just on your arm lock position the ones where you don't bounce I know it's a strike right before you even let go of the ball.
