iOS 7 was as society changing as the first iPhone was. Everything was skeumorphic design before iOS 7 and after its release everything started slowly shifting info more minimal, flat designs. Not even just tech, brand logos for food, water, etc.

Honestly, I would love the Apple Music App to be separated from iOS updates and instead be updated through the App Store. Apple Music needs more frequent updates and an entire interface overhaul in my opinion. The library page should be more personalizable, we should be able to pin our favorite music etc.

Parallax wasn't removed, it was glitched out. Right after restarting, the parallax effect is present. Once you enter the widget page or the app library, though, it disappears.

Hopefully a new charge sound effect as a celebration (albeit a delayed one) of the switch to Type C. Hopefully there are more new ringtones and text tones, a change in the defaults for text tone and calender/reminder alerts, new sounds for sending and receiving texts, and to celebrate the adoption of RCS, perhaps change the Messages icon to blue. Also they need to bring back sound effects for Siri, which has been missing since iOS9. I know Siri has some new sound effects, but what's the point if I can't turn on those sounds on an iPhone?

As much as I do hate flat design, IOS 7 has grown on me. At least for the devices IOS 7 was shipped with, it suited very well. The devices looked flat, sleek and modern and IOS 7 was designed well to carry this design into software. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the neumorphism of the current day Mac OS. I do really hope that Apple takes more of a skeuomorphic approach with IOS 18. but that will more than likely not happen sadly.

Definitely wish iOS would’ve gotten rounded icons versus the Mac getting rounded recsbc. However, I’m pretty sure android uses circles for their apps, so that wouldn’t have flown. I’ve also not really interested in having my user interface, even more clogged up with toggles and settings for every single person on the planets preferences and having to take 8000 years to set up my devices. It will be the biggest update because it'll be AI driven. That's how Apple sees it's significance. If it's something very useful or if it's something people want I'd doubt it. But iOS 18 will certainly won't be the biggest update because Apple will redesign it visually like iOS 7. People will be disappointed if they think about it like that.
