It’s not about the horns on the head. It’s about how the venison flavors the butter!!!!! Great video Neil. Best I’ve seen yet.

😂 if it were about how the venison flavors the butter we’d shoot does or yearling bucks, not rutted up 2 1/2 or older bucks.

I did the same thing on seasons 2020 and 2021. I shot and hit a big rack while still hunting on top of this mountain. Very upset that year . So when 2021 season came which seemed forever to come I told my self the same thing I did want to hunt that area until the rut. I shot him with in 300 yards from where I shot him the previous year. The buck pic is right next to this comment 11 pt 230lb . What amazes me is that he stayed in that same piece of woods until the next season. I have done that twice .Great video

Great video. I usually don't comment on to many but you hitting that small tree and sticking an arrow through it brought back some memories on a deep wood's critter I was after years ago. Unfortunately the same result happened. Loved watching your video.

Really enjoyed watching these hunts!! My biggest Whitetail I missed the evening before the last day, I took after him the next morning at daylight in the tracks he was standing in when I missed him. After several hours of tracking I found a bed, shortly after he entered an area where several deer were yarded up, the snow was covered in tracks, impossible to follow him any further. I started glassing some heavy timber near a creek, and I caught a horn coming around a tree through the brush. He was 80 yards away standing dead still, just peeking around that tree watching me. I took a head on shot at his neck because it’s all I had. He never took a step. ✌🏼😎

@@brentjurista4595 What’s a techno weenie trail cam a whammie? lol In all seriousness, I don’t take offense to your comment, because you are entitled to your opinion, thanks for watching. Did you watch the entire film? Maybe not? Because the 2nd and 3rd bucks were taken the exact method that Larry used, by tracking in big woods. I hunt many different styles, different areas and love using cams for entertainment, education and yes in some instances to help learn and target mature bucks. I get it that using cams aren’t for everyone, but I can assure you I log plenty of miles on my boots year round! Congratulations on your success, 60 deer by a variety of methods is impressive and exactly the type of hunting I can relate with! We may have more in common than you think! Maybe the start of the video wasn’t for you, but if you didn’t watch it all, I encourage you watch the tracking hunts. I enjoy tracking the most but hunt close to home to pass the time until snow flies and I can head to the big woods!

I couldn't agree more. I hunt Pennsylvania, Allegheny National Forest. Like you Compound, Recurve, Flintlock, Pistol,Rifle. No trail cameras. Years and year of Woodsmenship. Family Traditional deer camp. The new experts are coming up in camp. It's the this generation. I bite my tongue at times. This Guy is a good Hunter and works hard. We are old school and will never change. I thank God for the time he has given me.
