That's a neat idea. Odin has Sleipnir, an eight-legged horse, but has two wolves, Geri and Freki, and two ravens, Huginn and Muninn. It would be kind of interesting to combine all of them into some kind of warp entity he tamed: an eight-legged legged horse body with two wolf heads and four huge raven wings. Naming it would be tricky. Sleigefrehugmun? That's kind of the first syllable of each name. Or just give Russ a bunch of mutations from the warp, eight horse legs, wolf heads for hands and four wings for a head, lol. It's funny, Magnus already claimed dibs on having one eye like Odin.

For loyalists I think it would be best for GW to bring back a character like Vulkan or the Khan. They've proven with the Lion that they're currently incapable of bringing back a world/lore altering Primarch without it falling a bit bland, so I think it's best for them to bring someone back that can more easily fit into the current setting without giving them the issue of needing to come up with complex lore. Vulkan and the Khan can easily just come back, have a couple stories reintegrating them, and then go off and do their own thing without shaking up the setting too much

Yet almost every 40k youtuber is like: Russ is coming back! Is it because of the the Space Wolves refresh? Kinda like how the Emps Children refresh meant that Fulgrim would come back? That’s literally how all of warhammer has been sadly is lore bending over for the minis. If primarchs are profitable they will come. Lion just held off so long just because even though he arguably had more simplified way of waking up then guilliman yet he came second. Literally every other primarch has next to nothing. Corax at most we know he has a demon like bird thing but that’s all. Russ is one more active knowing he just doing something in the warp. Making and giving visions to space wolves, and his company he took with him the 13th have returned to the space wolves themselves in material universe. And considering he just traversing the warp he seems to be most free of the rest with dorn and khan possibly captured, corax just corax, Vulkan is dead who knows what even happened with that or if he even reformed or if the artifacts matter. With all considering and Russ being more popular for better or worse he still big attention so gw gonna focus and seems more likely for him to come back just depends how they are, if he is actually gonna save or help isha, or eldar, if he is any way corrupted or mutated or werewolf Odin man just how they gonna show it more then if he is gonna show up

Always choose the "easiest" primarch to bring back, in the meaning that you don't need lots of narrative around it. Just like the Lion that was sleeping, perhaps Vulkan can be back just after been found somewhere lots in space (not a very glorious story, I must admit.). Then Corvus Corax, who is already kind of back, perhaps he could choose to come back to see his two brothers. Betwwen the Kahn, Russ and Dorn, well, here, should they come back, it will be with an important story to tell. We can imagine that for the two first, they haven't aged 10 millinias old because of warp/bla bla, but still, for me, they weight more in term of narrative than Corax and Vulkan.

When I got into 40k as a kid in the early 90's, the Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, and Dark Angles were the big space marine chapters. It's 30 years later and they're still pushing those four. I get that they sell well. But could we please get something different than the same thing we've had for the past 30 years?! Could we please get something new?! But then, constant refreshes of the same old thing over and over without anything new kinda fits the vibe of the Imperium...

Lorgar is the most interesting and most dangerous Traitor Primarch to return. A master Preacher and corruption spreader in an age of blind faith. His compliance rate will be the exact opposite of his Great Crusade days. As my favorite Primarch Dorn, Dorn will return in a crusading mood and lead the Black Templars I think that is the most fitting arc for him now. No more rumination only damnation for the enemies of the Imperium.

I think an interesting twist GW could do for the next loyalist primarch is to have it be Fulgirm. Not the daemon one, obviously, but the perfect clone of Fulgrim that trapped in Trazyn galleries. We know that things break out of containment inside of the galleries plus i think a primarch is more than smart enough to escape given the opportunity.

I'm always amazed how much happens in the Imperium but never gets full coverage, so your just left guessing 70% of the time. It can sometimes be fun to guess but also very frustrating that they don't cover events in full.
@Kegdrinker13 сағат бұрын
Honestly my hope that would fit a narrative event related to Fulgrim would have to be Dorn as the returning primarch, thanks due to his personality range is the direct opposite to Fulgrim and arming Dorn with the Emperor's Power Claw just makes perfect sense. Outside of potential primarchs returning that would make sense to be pitted against Fulgrim perhaps a unique model for some of the other unique ranges the loyalists can offer, perhaps a new set of Legion of the Damned models (so people don't have to sculpt or kitbash their kits to get the skeletal bits needed to make these minis) with a particular scaled up to be larger Contemptor Dreadnought leading the charge that retains some distinctive features from the legion he once hailed from, i.e. Bringing back Rylanor as a Legion of the Damned character. That would be absolute fire, holy fire in fact...

I have said it before, but Vulcan coming back will be a huge thing, not because for his strength or compassion, that are still very important, but because of rhe fact he has both a perfect memory, and can actually develop technology back to at least great crusade era , which needless to say, will give the imperium a zenkai boost to say the least.
@deanastephensosborne560421 сағат бұрын
Ive said it to myself multiple times its going to be between these 5 khan, dorn, corax, vulkan, russ and narrow it down even more and it has to be either corax or khan or vulkan because they are the easiest to bring back khan is just in the webway so tell a custodes that and the emperor will just open a portal for khan to walk through then for corax he can return whenever he wants but he just prefers bothering lorgar anf finally vulkan because he is the least obvious and is a perpetual or the 6th option alpharus because he is double agent

While I love having Primarchs return, I’d much rather see them do more with the current roster than they have done recently especially in the Lions case. They made this big return for him, we had him go up against Angron and then had a book explaining how he returned and what he was doing and then nothing. He’s almost been forgotten about

I would love to find out Rogal Dorn isn’t dead but captured, and for thousands of years the chaos Gods have been trying to corrupt him. Leading to the Black Templar going of a vicious campaign to rescue him. Once freed the emperor can give him a massive mechanical power fist, to replace the one he lost and making it literally “the imperial fist”…..
@reginaldgickington479316 сағат бұрын
Its obviously gonna be Russ. Heres the thing - divergent chapters are always gonna be more important than compliant chapters. Same for chaos with mono-god and undivided chapters, like how fulgrim released before perturabo despite perturabo actually having some potential relevance to Vashtorr's storyline. So, for divergent chapters, the options are: - Dark Angels - Lion El Jonson - already returned - Blood Angels - Sanguinius - dead, would have returned with the BA refresh a few months ago if they were planning to do it - Black Templars - Dorn - Dorn would not function as a BT primarch since the Imperial Fists still exist and he would probably lead them instead - Space Wolves - Russ - hasnt returned yet, chapter is due for an update It just makes sense.

A secretively loyal Alpharius/Omegon, 1. cause it would be awesome 2. cause annoy Dorn enough to drag him back into the game And as unlikely as it is a Clonegrim would make for a great Fulgrim and Emperor' Children free for all

In another video (from someone else, can't remember) on the same subject, I thought 2 things : 1) It would be too "easy/uninteresting" to throw Primarch as pair : Perturabo and Dorn, Magnus and Leman, Lorgar and Corvus,... 2) What do the Imperium need right now with Guilliman reorginising the Imperium and the Lion striking left and right ? So I would go with the Khan or Corvus. Guilliman will soon realise the Lion is back and throwing a mysterious tactician to the mix could be enough to shake the daemonic Primarch advance. So one of those as the third. If GW do throw a fourth Primarch also, both candidate previously mentioned are still possible, but you can add Vulkan, Dorn and Leman too. For Sanguinius and Ferrus, I think they both need a REALLY good plot for them to come back. If Lorgar and Magnus attempt some massive warp-heresy, this might be enough to begin something with those two dead primarch.

I think the Khan is going to be the next loyalist primarch to return. There are so many plot points that would support that narrative. Since Vashtorr has the ability to enter the webway at will he could ally with Fulgrim to invade Commorragh in order to find a vital piece for his plan. This could create an eldar centric storyline that parallels the war within the webway from the Horus heresy. It would have the ynnari stepping in to try and get the crone sword, Vect and other drukhari scheming and backstabbing, as well as the harlequins and Cegorach getting involved. This could culminate in Vect or Cegorach freeing the Khan from wherever he was trapped to help them banish Fulgrim.

We are bound to have something related to Valdor when Pamdaemonium is released. The problem is that book is set almost a thousand years before the curretn setting so it may end up in nothing relevant to the current lore.

As someone who plays Salamanders as my main army. And really wants us to finally have our chapter master on the tabletop (or at least a plastic forge master) please be Vulkan. But as someone who also plays space Wolves, please be Odin Russ. I play Space Wolves as Space Vikings, don't make him furry Russ. Though I just started Iron Warriors (don't worry I play Crimson Fists so I've had sons of Dorn for years) so there's only one Daemon Primarch I'm rooting for next. Especially because when they bring back Lorgar they need to bring out Corax as a loyalist daemon Primarch and that would need its own set of event books to show.

I hope Perty comes back. I'd like to see a revival of the Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists. It would give GW the perfect opportunity to bring new models for both factions.
@ukdoomer208217 сағат бұрын
just going with the logic that GW wants to sell the most models, i think it will be Russ or Dorn who will return next.
@chrislacombe597620 сағат бұрын
Vulkan or the Khan for the loyalist side first.. unless Corax and Russ will be able to hold a more human form cause lets face it Corax's bird form and Russ being a giant Wulfen will cause some concern in the imperium leading to the inquisition raising stink and all descended from those 2 could cause a new civil war...
@matthewlamont311221 сағат бұрын
My thinking on return order is: Jaghatai as the counter for Fulgrim being a ridiculously fast and amazing duelist, Purturabo followed by Vulcan, Omegon releasing Dorn, Lorgar then Corax and Russ finally. The reason being that his return sets up a reset given his mission which could cause an "AoSing" of the setting, similar with Valdor.
@rokki384422 сағат бұрын
I already mentioned it on reddit - i can see IW boxsets as part of a dark mechanicum standalone faction. For all the rest of the traitor and loyalist primarchs they'll probably have to rely on Kill Team to get a full squad of marines similar to the Night Lords. GW has always been averse to broaden their loyal / traitor marine range of models.

Vulkan is exactly what the Imperium needs, a beacon of burning hope. The draconic defender of mankind, who better to forge the sheilds and spears needed to drive back the darkness.
@Sandrock31317 сағат бұрын
With Fulgrim coming back, I think the lore will focus him and the rest of the Emperor’s Children facing off against the Eldar factions, hence the big Craftworld refresh that’s going to happen next year. I don’t think we will see Leman Russ at the next refresh of the Space Wolves as they are supposed to be going up against the Orks. So unless Russ returns to face off against Ghazghkul, I don’t know how they would reintroduce Russ to the setting.
@richarddomzalski423216 сағат бұрын
I believe that Vulkan is currently hanging with The King in Yellow. Keeping an eye on Dan Abnett's next book. The King in Yellow needs a builder and architect. Vulkan fits that need nicely. Also in classic literature who built Pandemonium was Mulciber, whose Roman name is Vulkan. I am probably wrong but the breadcrumbs are there.
@Griffon2919 сағат бұрын
I think the next Loyalist Primarch returning is going to be Russ. He's one of the ones who can come back at any point, and given the Space Wolf range refresh, it would make sense to release him with those new models the same way we're seeing Fulgrim and the EC. After that, probably Vulkan or Dorn because they're the next most popular Primarchs, and while Khan makes sense story-wise, at the end of the day, this is about selling models and I think more people are going to pick up Vulkan or Dorn than the Khan. Also, we're going to have some warning with Vulkan because the Salamanders need to find the nine Artifacts of Vulkan to bring him back and I think they've only got five or six(?) so far.

I mean, it's obviously going to be Russ with their range refresh coming. After that... either Corax or Vulkan maybe? Maybe the Khan? All bets are off, it depends what they do with the non Ultramarines Codex Compliant chapters in the new edition.
@Dynosaur4218 сағат бұрын
I definitely think they should drop a couple of more minor primarchs before they bring Russ back. You don't want to fire all your big guns first, so holding Russ back for a later edition will let them build more hype. I'd love to see Khan next, then Corvus. Basically the release order teased in 'Ashes of Prospero'. It sounds like we're getting a Space Wolves refresh soon. If that release skips Russ, I could see a second wave a couple of editions further down the line that updates the Wulfen models and Russ accompanying those.

My totally scientific and completely accurate prediction for the return of the primarchs is: 1. Russ 2. Dorn 3. Perturabo 4. Jaghatai 5. Lorgar 6. Corax 7. Vulcan 8. Alpharius/Omegon I'm pretty sure James Workshop is going to release loyalists as the next 2-3 primarchs in order to balance things out. I also think that Perturabo is going to return after Dorn. The in universe explanation being that it is Dorn's return to the setting that motivates Perturabo to take a more active role in the galaxy. I think a similar thing is going to happen with Lorgar and Corax.
