20 years of planetside. Even to this day I'm still amazed at just how much this game can make me stop and marvel at its scenery. Whether that be the epic battles or the beautiful landscapes of Auraxis. There really won't be a game like this again, which makes me sad but I guess thats what makes it so special.

20 years of Planetside! I remember joining this game in March 2014 when I was still in school, so while everyone else was playing COD, I was looking for a game I could play that was free. I think I put in around 600 hours until I took a break due to school, and back then, that was a lot of time in a game! I saw this game had been added to Steam I came back around 2018? And have put in a good amount of hours since. I'm glad this game is still around so I can both relive a childhood game, as well as experience it's growth and development over the years.

20 years of PlanetSide. The first time I heard of this franchise was in 2014. I was super into the Battlefield franchise at the time. My friend found a video on KZbin about PlanetSide 2 and he told me about the massive scale and gameplay opportunities that this game provides. I was in awe. At the time, I only had an Xbox One, but news of PlanetSide 2 coming to PS4 convinced me to go get myself a PS4 and join the PlanetSide 2 community. I loved it. Exploring the mechanics of the game and playing with friends was more than fun. I watched tons of Wrel videos and got into watching Commander Cyrious and other creators alike. I played for about 3 years, before lots of life changes happened. I took a break for a couple years and came back in 2020 and for the first time on PC. I was so excited to play on PC because I knew that PC was the original platform for the game and the platform most maintained by Rogue Planet Games (Daybreak Studios at the time). Although it was only on a laptop geared more towards business use than gaming, I could run the game on super low graphics and get around 20 - 30 FPS. Horrible performance yes, but that was just my hardware limitations at the time. But playing with friends, joining a big outfit, and participating in the PlanetSide 2 PC community made it worth it. Finally after much patience and saving up, I recently built my own PC with pretty great specs a few months ago. I can run the game on ultra with over 100 FPS and it feels amazing. Seeing how much Rogue Planet Games cares for PlanetSide 2 and updates it with new content amazes me, especially in the current gaming space. The devs are passionate about the game and have impressively kept it alive for now 10 years. I wish I could have played PlanetSide 1 in the glory days, but I am glad to have been a part of the PlanetSide 2 community for the majority of it's life. This game is a one of a kind and deserves to be preserved. Thank you Commander Cyrious for continuing to support this game and make content for it. Thank you Rogue Planet Games for not giving up on developing the game despite all of the difficulties that have come along with its development and maintenance. Long live PlanetSide!

I remember years and years ago reading an article about the original planetside in I think it was Game Informer, anyone else remember those old subscription based gaming magazines? After that I tried to get into it, but alas, my cruddy Windows XP at the time would not run the game. I followed it for years until I was finally able to upgrade my PC in Jan 2013, hopping straight into Planetside 2. 10 years later and it's still my favorite game.

20 Years of Planetside! Found the game in 2012 when I built my forst PC and was looking for free games to play. I used to cut grass for the neighborhood to get money to go to Walmart and buy the SOE game cards to buy Station Cash. I was 12 years old at the time and didn't have a credit card to buy steam games so had to but the cards. 2100 hours later it's my most played game and has been such a fun game for me and I have so many memories playing it. A few friends of mine that were addicted to Planetside introduced me to this game a few years back, I've gotten to learn the ropes throught all the chaotic battles from them, got to mess with all the different classes, guns, and vehicles, got to be part of an awesome outfit that I've met awesome friends, and even got to control a whole bastion. To this day I've always loved Planetside 2 and have been able to introduce the game to friends that have never seen it before, now they even love it themselves. I hope Planetside 2 will live and stay strong so I can see another 10 years of content and memories for this beloved game and the community.

I remember firing it up in the small Morale, Welfare and Recreation building right next to our barracks. Back-to-back deployment schedule took me away from gaming for a few years then I find the game again thanks to this channel.

20 years of planetside. I first started around 2016-2017, I had a slow start but soon came to own an outfit named "The BloodStone Legion" on the emerald server. It started out slow and we soon started to see an increase of players in our ranks and eventually started to compete with some of the bigger outfits of the TR side and won multiple alerts for our faction. We even decided that we were basically a training outfit but we also liked to be organized, we we took in low level players and showed them how to play the game in every aspect such as flying, ground vehicle fighting, point holds, INF combat, how to play the classes, etc. Almost all of my members that eventually leveled up beside me and others were newbies that nobody wanted to help and wandered around getting got by the sweaty players and then losing interest in the game until we helped them through the learning curve and they were finally having fun playing the game and were apart of big OPS that we organized to take over the whole continent. We would go too warpgates and talk in local chat, "We are running some training squads and can help out anyone that wants to learn and have a good time." We would then at the end of our play sessions when we were about to get off, offer invites to our Discord/Outfit to anyone that wished to help other players as well and make the TR proud of it's soldiers! Unfortunately the outfit is mostly quiet now because everyone got burnt out after playing for 3-4 years of doing basically the same thing, only sometimes playing a little bit with each other until they took a break again. But I am proud to say that we had fun despite it all at the end of the day. I myself get on sometimes to see what the new updates are about and always remember the good times we had together as i stared at the outfit screen... The BloodStone Legion.

20 YEARS OF PLANETSIDE I found PlanetSide 2 many years ago, back when it was still a SoE product. I was looking for a massively multiplayer FPS that wasn't too realistic when I found the PlanetSide 2 Launch Trailer. That video kicked ass! and I thought "Huh, the game can't be like that, can it?" Well, I was impressed on how close the game actually was to that pre-rendered trailer. I found myself dipping in and out of PS2 over the years. It scratches so many itches for me, I find it to be a comforting game to return to when I'm not playing the latest "must play" title. And to see it has continued to be supported and cherished for 10 years now is quite the achievement. May the battles on Araxis never end, because if PS2 were to end, it would be a sad day.

I’ve been playing since 2017, my most memorable memory was when I first spawned in, was yelled at to enter this large plane thing at warpgate, and before I knew it I was dropped into a major player-made base. Although with a new account lol I could've been 5 points. 2 on land, 1 on the shore, and 2 firmly underwater so each side had that...middle point to push a fight.

20 years of Planetside I got into Planetside during Covid lockdown. I'm a full time dad who was stuck at home for a long time with no income of my own and my partner's wages had been temporarily cut. I was looking for some free-to-play games because I was bored out of my mind. I haven't been bored since. And I should probably get out more now than we're allowed to do that... Only started with Planetside 2 back in 2015, stopped playing for a few years but came back a few months ago and I love it ^^ Nothing like getting 4 enemy squads getting dropped on you by a coordinated enemy Galaxy drop when trying to get a point, all the while tanks shell each other right outside the door. And when your faction still captures the base against all odds, no other game can give you that feeling.

20 years of Planetside, I remember being a young schoolboy being so hyped for the launch of PS2. Playing the hell out of it on my bootcamped MacBook at 20FPS for my first 800hrs. And have been playing it off and on ever since. This game scratches an itch no other game can, however these days also makes me scratch my head as to the lack of improvement over the games core issues of performance, balance and faction identity. I love this game, I am frustrated by it, I am saddened by the thought that it may not be around forever… and I still hang on to hope that one day we will see a re-engined sequel that captures what planetside 2 could never be. PS. Thankyou Cyrious for your dedication to the game. Through the up’s and downs over the years I have always been able to come here and keep up to date with the game. Fell in love with the scale and will never forget my first few hours spent just ferrying planetmans from Warpgate to a Biolab fight before I fell into a squad with The Freelancers Union on Miller. Days of a computer barely able to run the first game, the days of my new found love for vehicular warfare, days of massive mobilized spec ops camping many a generator, days of 1v1 outfit duals in a lobby filled with cheering fans, and to the days I spent many an hour in caverns to pilot my own battle frame robotics. 20 Years of Planetside! Glad you're still putting out great content bud. I played the original game and loved it; the 'Planetside stories' are so memorable. I played PS2 in beta, early years a lot, but only a little in the past few years. The world is lucky this title exists.

20 Years of Planetside! I remember I saw or heard about Planetside in a gaming related TV show and I just HAD to try it. Of course I could barely even run it like 99% of people back then but man was it cool. That memory randomly came back to me years later so I checked and it was still kickin'. Now that I had a PC that was at least able to run it at more than a diashow I enjoyed it a lot more despite still not even understanding the game. That has been many years ago now too but I finally got into the game when Planetside 2 got some hype again for the bastion update.

20 years of Planetside. I found this game over a year ago from one of the videos about RPGs. The fact that it was a FPS MMORPG drew my attention and I thought I'd give it a try. I played it whole weekend and have been playing only this game since then. I love the outfit system and I have made friends via this game.

20 Years of Planetside! I just found the game 1 month ago and a friend told me to give it a try and wow! I'm blown away by the awesome immersive battles it brings to the table. No other game can actually do what this game does.

20 years of Planetside. Wow already 20 years, how time flies. I remember the first time i saw this game was when i was looking for a free online fps shooter like cod because i couldnt afford official online fps games. Then i saw TotalBiscuits' video of the game and i fell in love with it, especially Vanu. I was fully immersed in the lore and felt i was fightning for a real faction. Amazing how time flies so quickly. And amazingly there is still not a single game that matches PS2's massive battles. And i think no game will ever for now

20 years of planetside! I discovered it on the first day of release but it wasn't until a year or 2 ago that I started playing regularly. When the NSO dropped is what got me interested. It felt like a chance to get into something that was pretty new. The is game was pretty intimidating to get into originally but I finally managed to get my first directive weapon the galilei LMG and since then I've been on pretty much ever other day.

20 years of Planetside! 🎉 I found this game when I was in highschool and played it from year 1. I had my first 96+ battle at a tech plant on Indar, and I was utterly hooked - I'd never seen an FPS with so many players and with such good combined arms gameplay. It's been my favorite game ever since, and it's the only game that keeps me coming back consistently for more. Here's hoping that they can keep it going for another 20!

I recall downloading it back on my older computer(I discovered it via a website that recommended f2p games) I can't remember when it was but back then I had a blast playing the game. The joy was short-lived as my pc turned out to be a little bit too old to keep up and I wasn't able to play the game no more. I loved the game mainly its maps and I spent a lot of time just driving a harasser to places and soaking in the surroundings. I got a laptop three years back and decided to redownload the game and join the fight once again. I found some good lads and lasses to run missions with and that's where I am now.

20 years of Planetside, and hopefully 20 more! I played ps1 a bit with my good childhood friend (shout out to zero r4w!) I didn't know what the hell was going on, came back to ps2 a couple years ago and was hooked after having some milsim games under my belt. It's been a real blast when I've been on a gaming bender and have made some friends that keep in touch even when I'm not. With all else that comes with this game, I've appreciated the community the most.
