My condolences Ngozi. I love your shows. You are an amazing woman and I hope and pray that one day you will find the level of recognition and importance that an inspiring, classy and well rounded figure like you deserves. Much love and respect from a non-nigerian african brother living in Barcelona (Spain)

Ngee is right on the public transport etiquette thing. Over here, there are signs on public buses and trains that prohibit playing loud music on an electronic device. You can listen to your music with headphones. And the buses don't have radios or CD players.

So this happened in traffic in Accra: Guy driving his car and eating rice invited a taxi driver next to him at a red light to join him. Taxi driver got out of his car with a bowl (WITH A BOWL!!) and came for his share.

Oh but Ms. Ngozi, with the music one, I've been on trains in MD/DC and you find one person (you may already know the main culprits) playing their music loudly... I will sometimes shake my head to let them know but most people won't get it... Sometimes they play it loudly even with the headphones on, that you might as well ask them to play it without the headphones... Some even sing along and start dancing... And I'm like oh emm Geee!

Hah! We were taught by our mothers to be gracious and invite people to eat. Not sure why (my mother will still slap me at my over 50 age if I'm eating and don't offer). But we all know as sure as day, that it is NOT actually an invite that u take up. And then to not only take up said invite, e we metu anu'm aka - that is an act of WAR. I will apologise to mummy later, after we have racked and killed awaselves. #MYopinion Tenkiu 😅

Hi Ngee! I just found your channel and I'm enjoying your content. I saw your video with Chigul on accents just before this one and it got me thinking...can you really have it both ways? In the accent clip it was about ditching Brit/American accents for the "mother-tongue" but in this clip you compare social etiquettes in the West to those in Nigeria (signaling to change lanes, using the ATM, music on the public transport etc.) if Nigerians can't use the Brit/American accents why then should they live by the standards in those countries using your examples. Not agreeing or disagreeing - just playing a non partisan advocate here. Think about it, if you're penalized for an accent that's not Nigerian, then you should also be penalized for imbibing other aspects of their culture as well. This has always been a point of confusion for me. If Nigerians perceive well about their culture and education system, why send their children abroad in the first place? It's really confusing. The general consensus is that Nigerians are loud (not a good or bad thing) and very social, so the person playing the music sees nothing wrong in it because that's a norm in Nigerian culture. I hope I haven't confused you. Maybe I'll see it come up as a conversation topic in your subsequent webisode...
