The Avs vs Oil game was ELECTRIC! It felt like a playoff game all the way through. McDavid was dangerous every time he touched the puck. MacKinnon had multiple dominant shifts. In the end, it was depth scoring that made the difference.

Sure embellish your own storyline…in the end, at 0.5 in OT, a lapse in defensive coverage was the difference. Check that scoring summary again…none of Edmonton’s big guns came through, it was our depth players. Foegele’s typically a 3rd line forward who’s been rewarded for his strong play. Holland didn’t have the cap to address our need for a legitimate 2 line RW. 🇨🇦

I've always felt like the color and style of jersey really helps a teams ability and confidence in the long run. My all time favorite Penguins player was Alexei Morozov. He scored back to back OT goals in 2003-04. In the second one, the team pulled the goalie (it wasn't Fleury, though he played earlier that year) and scored. That's when I learned the "lose your one point" rule. 🙂

I learned that the Avs are indeed a serious contender. As a fan, there was a point this year where I didn't believe they had what it took to go deep again. The new guys have all been fantastic in their roles, and Georgiev has a 2.32gaa and .921sv% over the past month.

Even though it was kind of expected for the Sharks to lose against the Penguins on Thursday (the game I got to be at), seeing my favorite player Mikael Granlund get right back on the bench after that awkward leg-twisted fall injury and continue playing, was a freaking miracle. He’s 5’10, has the shortest legs, but is indestructible. As a Sharks fan, I think he’s going to be incredibly important for the Sharks’ rebuild. If Mike Grier extends his contract.

As a Detroit native living in St Louis, it's fuckin wild to see the wings go for an 8 game win streak and then suddenly have a 7 game loss streak. They've had an amazing year so far and it shows since Lalonde straight up said he didn't expect us to even get within reach of a wild card spot. That said, I think the bois are slowing down and getting sloppy. They seem slower since the 8 wins, and they seem to be getting too comfortable. Pair that with our cap Larkin being injured, and the vibes aren't good, broski.
