Laviolette scratched Kakko because he's in job preservation mode clearly. He knows if he scratches Zibanejad or Kreider with their place in the locker room and organization it's career suicide sad to see this occur especially for Kakko but sadly the young guys are always 1st to be scratched in these veteran heavy teams

Kappo has a good shot and is reliable defensively. I think he could excel with a playmaker and make a 2nd line much better by forcing turnovers and finishing, it’s not his fault New York drafted him that high.

Really doubt the Kings are making a big move this free agency period. They're gelling pretty well right now, and I can't see them even trading somebody like Trevor Moore who has been the subject of trade rumors since he joined the team. He's probably not a 30 goal guy this year, but he still can get hot like he did last year and really prove his skill. I don't even think they need upgrades in net. Kuemper has been surprisingly great this year, and Rittich has been wonderful for home games. They could technically trade Rittich for a slightly better back up, but they really don't have the cape space to do that once Doughty is back. I think the only way they're going to agree to trades is if it's done on their terms. They hold a lot of cards right now in the West, and have a lot of players teams wish they had too.

Duck have maybe one of the most stacked defensive prospects pool . Not a big loss for them . But I think St-Louis absolutely robbed them . Fowler was a true number 1 defensement not that long ago and now at 4M /AAV is really good for st-louis

Fowler isn't anything remotely close to a number 1 dman. I honestly don't understand the trade for St Louis. One of the oldest dcores in the league and they aren't even a playoff team. I wouldnt consider the Ducks defensive prospects as "stacked". It would be great if they could get someone like Matthew Schaefer in the upcoming draft. I think the move gives the younger guys more of an opportunity to go through different phases of the game.

Who is Cozens actually? The 30 goal scorer or the forward who scored an average of 15 goals in his other two full seasons? The variation in scoring makes him a difficult trade target. Buffalo will obliviously market him as a 30 goal scorer with a good contract; other GMs will want to pay for an overpriced 15 goal scorer.

The Flyers desperately need a center to play with Michkov. I could maybe see the Flyers going after Byfeild or even Cozens. The Flyers have plenty of picks and a few players that could possibly make a deal happen for a center. Do they Flyers make a deal for a center i dont think so but you never know.
