These guys were MJ and Janet Jacksons dance instructors later in life! Just goes to show we all stand on the shoulders of giants. Tap dancing isn't big in pop culture anymore but you can see the impact it had on dancers from Michael's generation. Its influence is still definitely felt today because of that.

I don't know about the Nicholas Bros. But I know I've seen Cab Calloway performing with his orchestra in a movie called "International House" from around 1934 or 35. It starred him, W.C. Fields, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Rudy Vallee, Peggy Hopkins Joyce, Bela Lugosi, Alan Pangborn, Baby Rose Marie and a whole slew of others. Great film :D

I shoot video of a lot of dance recitals that are put on by dance schools. They are taught to tap dance along with everything else. But, the music they tap to is nothing like this. They're talented, but the music they choose to dance to just doesn't work for the kind of dance they're doing.

Thanks for watching this, Tysheen - first I've seen of the "colorized" version - gotta say I like the original black & white better - I've heard that this (while obviously rehearsed) was a "one-take" for the movie - there is also a great dance scene with the brothers "Down Argentine Way" -- where they sang, as well - they were the "total package" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX_VemqOe5Kjf6s - they inspired Gregory Hines, and even Fred Astaire was reported to have said that he could never compare to them!

Harold had two, one daughter with his first wife Dorothy Dandridge, and I think Fayard, who was married four times, also had at least two children.
