Fred Astaire spoke about how he would come n watch them practice n would be amazed at how talented they were. These 2 brothers were Simply The Best!!!!

They were not formally trained. Their sister was taking tap lessons and would come home and teach them what she learned. His parents wound up buying a theater where all the best dancers would perform and they learned by watching them. From there they developed their unique style.

Amazingly, Harold is 16 here, but looks so much younger. Fayard is 22.

Often these films were recorded and then released years later from backstock. From other footage I have seen - combined with the release date of ‘Zaz Zuh Zaz’ - I’d more likely guess this was recorded in either ‘33 or ‘34, making them 13-14 and 18-19, respectively :-)

@@zaletabuskin You're right that that is often the case, however, this is a British production and was recorded during the brother's trip to England to perform in the show Lew Leslie's Blackbirds. I knew Fayard very well and am actually working on their biography right now. He told me personally that it was filmed in 1937.

@paulabroussard1824 I've lived in Istanbul for a long time. I read Eartha Kitt mentioning they were already here and give her the do's & don'ts. But I haven't been able to find anything about it online.
