The Nicholas Brothers were great dancers . No one could dance like them. They were gifted with amazing talent. They could act and sing as well. But their dancing was tops 10/10. Are they on the Walk of Fame? If they should be.

This shit is mesmerizing to me just the shear energy and agility, and ability as well as thought process it took to manifest this beautiful creation is awe inspiring along with hypnotic to me. It makes me want to go out and learn how to tap dance at my advance age of 57 years old going on 58, ha, hahaha. I love these two brothers( black brothers) along with "crazy" Cab and his band and the whole cast. This is a "bad" movie from top to bottom that I think I watched upwards of a hundred times and counting already, that's how much I love it. God bless each and every person that helped to produce this jem during those rough and turbulent times in our history. And it is my sincerest wish that generations throughout the ages to come and beyond. Are able to feel the awesome majestic power and witness the splendor of this American masterpiece like I have all these many years; black people are simply amazing😄😄😄

Yeah but did you see where their hand was when they hit the bottom of the split? Hit pause and go slow-mo. They use their hand as a shield in case they hit too low, if you know what I mean. But whatever, these guys are incomparable.

I remember when my father showed me some footage of the Nicholas and Berry Brothers and tap dancing was elevated to a new level for me. I simply fell in love with these brothers. I have never seen tap dancing like that before or since. All of their performances were clean, percise and entertaining. I can not even imagine me jumping off of a piano or over any of my brothers or tossing umbrellas. I probably would have had a broken ankle or worst. My brothers and I would have all falling down the staircase and forget about tossing umbrellas to one another. We would have drop all of the umbrellas.😊 The Nicholas and Berry Brothers were truly gifted with amasing talents. There will be no one that even comes close to the Nicholas or Berry Brothers in tap dancing. They were sensational in what they have accomplished. I also like Eleanor Powell. She was a beautiful and classy tap dancer. Tap On People! 2019 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥

This was the 1930s and black people had to fight so hard and perform with precise skill with all their energy and hearts, as these brothers did, just to earn the stage to perform for white clubs. I’m upset they had Megan doing this with women of color in 2021.... like wtf is CBS insinuating??????
@faxythekid3 жыл бұрын
I saw it as her doing a throwback to this moment showing how far representation has come by incorporating the traditional showmanship into her performance. Contrasting how hip-hop was once seen as an "uncultured" medium in the eyes of mainstream media. This act was then followed by Cardi's performance that utilized futuristic aesthetics to show how the medium has come a long way in terms of mainstream respectability and exposure.
@SarahtheGoddess11113 жыл бұрын
@@faxythekid that all may be artistically true but it hit me the wrong way because I believe Megan did not choose this performance or choreography. She probably don’t even know about where it all came from. Megan and cardi are controlled, they are pawns and this was a distaste to me because as much as I want to think of it as a tribute, I can’t. I want to believe the elite secret society loves black people and black women and want to pay tribute to the nickolas brothers but I find it hard to believe that they have the black community at heart.

Felt like a 2021 version or reminder of oppression and control
