The blend of martial arts, cruelty, brutality, violence and action into one. All the female characters in this film are like possessed with their respective fighting styles. That makes this film different from most other martial arts films.

The biggest mistake of the MK film was not having Iko Uwais on board, he's the one who done the fight choreography for this film and both the raid films
@nitrokid3 жыл бұрын
Years ago, after the release of the Raid, Iko Uwais was rumored to play Liu Kang but it didn't come to fruition. I don't know if it was true though. But yeah, if he was involved in MK, I think the movie could be more spicy.

Aw, I'm a little disappointed that you skipped my favorite part of the whole movie, which is in the final fight where Arian misses the kick and hits his shin on the metal beam. I love how out of all the gallons of blood spilled in the movie from knifes, gunshots and razor wire, that's the one that gets everyone. It's universally painful. But I do understand how much you have to kill to avoid copyright, it sucks.
@MollyBeeReacts3 жыл бұрын
Ahhhh I know, I'm sorry!!! I wish I could've included that entire fight. There was just so much in this movie I had to cut out of the reaction that was worthy of being included!

If you like seeing Julie Estelle and Iko Uwais in action, then the movie "HEADSHOT" will be your thing. It's got decent action scenes and much more tame than the Night Comes for Us and the Raid movies combined.

U know what, Timo (tncfu director) n Gareth Evans (Raid) collaborate in V/H/S 2 (2013). Their segment, SAFE HAVEN is crazy n chaotic. Have a try!
@onebadmonkee25403 жыл бұрын
Thanks for another fine reaction video!👍 Personal observation: The sheer amount of violence and gore in this one may seem numbing and/or desensitizing, but I think it's quite intentional and fitting, putting the viewer in the emotional postion of the characters. Their life of violent crime takes its toll on them, chipping away at their humanity, taking away their empathy - until they either totally embrace it (like Alma and Elena) it, or have an "Ito moment", a last chance to redeem themselves. And while Ito dies in the end, at that very moment he's more of a human being than he was at the beginning. End of rambling 😄.
@michaelccozens3 жыл бұрын
Good point! I also like the deliberate decision to linger on the effects of violence for an additional reason. It's sort of an anti-glorification kick; unlike sanitized Hollywood violence, this makes getting in a fight seem like the last thing any sane person would want to do, because nobody comes out unscathed.

This was one of the bloodiest action movies I've ever seen.
@wearywanderer70183 жыл бұрын
This movie is unreasonably gruesome 😂 That final fight is probably then single greatest fight scene in history Seriously though it drives me crazy when someone sacrifices themselves and the person who is supposed to be leaving just stands there and wastes time.

Fyi, by people describing the "horror" element of this film, is more of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre side as opposed to the jump-scare type.
@MollyBeeReacts3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha yes that absolutely makes sense!
@thomasjuniardi35593 жыл бұрын
Because Timo (the director) are well known as a horror movie director at here in Indonesia, so when Netflix made this we actually surprised. We had a very harsh censor law at here but streaming are the loophole, Timo really took advantage of this with more gory details he couldn't have in his other movies released for the theater 😁
@mika58022 жыл бұрын
Well , called the Tarantino's blood scene types and "gladiator" the series , bloody but somehow still beauty . Not Chainshaw , Timo indeed the creator of "rumah dara" (horor and gore) , but he is still had that "splash of beauty blood" sense , haha , feel weird my self to talking this , :))

@@Nightlotus01998 I think it was muay boran that I was thinking of. The fact that they use elbows, knees, and headbutt seemed brutal imo since those are the hardest bones in the body.
