I just can't stop listening to this song. It's so simple yet so beautiful.

It's obvious how they were influenced by Pink Floyd. They carry the legacy of prog rock very successfully and with their own unique style. Fascinating.
@kevinmcfarlane27522 жыл бұрын
This is probably their most overtly Pink Floyd-like song. But Floyd is one of many influences in their music in general.

Good feelings listening this song. For me, takes Wellcome to the machine as a basis to make a fresh proyection in a new song.

90 thumbs up in 10 years - that is 9 per year. What a pity for such a good song.

Enfin de la musique faite avec d'authentiques bons vieux instruments "en chair et en os 😜" ; et en plus les Mostly Automn élaborent une musique qui élèvent les esprits, et non pas rassembler les foules... là est toute la différence ! 🙏🏻

Weightlessly you leave the ground Hanging gently in the breeze, You lift your head to face the stars And catch the wind above the trees, You know you're safe, you know you're there The night sky rushing through your hair The shadow cast across the fields By silver moon that lights the night Over the mountains over the hills, The changing horizons, you drift through the valleys Reaching for distance, floating alone, Like an eagle at midnight, under the stars. Through frozen eyes you see the hills Go rolling by, your spirit fills with wonder And the freedom to roam the winter sky, You drift into the fragrance of the forest Swaying gently down below. The warm glow of a village sleeping silently, You rise to meet the bleakness of the mountain That roll into the distance, A ghost upon the north wind bound for nowhere, To meet the rising sun.

One of their best ever. A masterpiece of rock, just like all of their stuff, particularly ‘Mother Nature’. KevtheWitch

Troy Donockley left Iona for this, Pink Floyd rip-off? Not very impressive...
@iannaylor7824 жыл бұрын
Troy did not leave Iona for Mostly Autumn ,he has been a friend of Bryans for years ,and guested on most CD s also why not check out the 13 studio albums you never know you may find something you like.
@Danthehorse4 жыл бұрын
Pink Floyd rip off? What no one is allowed to do guitar based prog rock? Maybe tell the jazz artists to stop copying, and all the classical artists... wow...
@MrHistorian1233 жыл бұрын
This is nothing remotely like anything Floyd ever did. Female vocals? Pipes? Whistles? Strings? And Troy Donockley did not leave Iona for Mostly Autumn: he's been a friend of the band and has guested for them many times. He was at their last Christmas gig at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge in 2019. I was there. When you actually know something about music, come back and discuss with those of us who do.
