The Night That John Prine Died

I wrote this almost immediately upon hearing the news about John Prine's death. We'd spent a number of memorable evenings together, both on and off stage. He was a deceptively complex writer, always honest, frequently funny, heartfelt, true. I'm heartbroken along with the rest of the world.
