John was a man of the people, because of his work with School of Rock and several other entities, he was approachable and friendly, we went to see him in a small venue in Atlanta, during a break my wife pleaded with me to get his autograph, he was standing next to the stage talking to one of the road crew when I walked up and asked him to sign a tee shirt for my wife, he looked at me and said " where is she sitting", I pointed her out and he walked over and nudged the back of her chair, she turned around and almost fainted, she stood up and he gave her a hug and with a big smile on his face asked her to dance, I couldn't believe how kind and friendly he was, we took some pictures with him and chatted for a few minutes, when he went back to work he actually dedicated the song "Book of Saturday" to my wife. I have been a huge Crimson, UK and Asia fan since the inception, John Wetton was in a class by himself, no ego, no attitude, he left an indelible finger print on Prog music as well as my family......He was never fully given the credit for his musical contribution....but actually, I don't think he worried about that.

I got to see John Wetton up close when he played with District 97 at a small club. He was great, and very friendly, giving, and warm. I miss him.

@@dmanster yeah. I think most KC do. They were just so...Good during that period. What album/ songs do you like the best? Just curious...

@@dmanster yeah. Exiles and Starless are my favorite vocal performances from him. Fracture, Red, Lark's Tongues, Great Deciever, Easy Money, etc.. The man was just brilliant. Fripp did well by asking John to join along with Bill Bruford and Dave Cross. Those 3 albums they made together are brilliant.

A friend of mine, was talking to him after he did a gig in Chester England, For about 20 min. Exiles, and starless, for me have to be two of the best tracks made. I’m 65 now, and followed crimson since I was 14, early crim, with lake And sinfields lyrics, and then the wetton era I think was the best. I’ve really tried, I mean tried, but just can’t get into crimson after RED!. I think Fripp should have renamed the band after red Only my opinion. Take care.

..for me..this man stands as tall as the Rembrandt he's singing about..his time with KC defines greatness in the power of music..and the Nightwatch live album is an unpretentious display of the soul power of art..rip John..an Icon.. and always missed..

If there's a heaven, there must be some killer bands up there...Wetton, Jaco and Entwistle on Bass, Moony & Bonzo on drums, Freddy Mercury and Bowie on vocals, Zappa and Jimi on axe--- keyboards Keith Emerson...Just sayin...:)

At last I find this! John himself singing my favourite Crimson ballad and being able to see the chord progression he uses on guitar to sing it! Thank you so much for uploading this! Just don't understand why it took me so long to see it in KZbin... We miss yo so much John. But I'll never forget having the privilege of being with you twice when you came to Buenos Aires. The second time, sitting at a table in the bar of the Bauen hotel an hour before your last show here and talking about this song and Rembrandt... Real Crimson fans love John above all other singers, even Lake who was and still is so great too. But John had a special melancholy to his voice that no other singer had. God bless you John wherever you are.

I went to this particular CTTE it was an otherworldly experience for me. Pitty that I couldn’t attend UK Storytellers. Fact is there were so many stuff going on at the same time it was impossible to get to see everything. I actually stayed very close to John the time I spent having a drink by the outdoor pool. didn’t want to bother him while he was enjoying his leisure time.

Very low volume, video viewpoint floating everywhere. Does not pay homage to this great artist. (edit:) but the comments surely do. As i understand this is a rare recording, i'll cherish it as a memory to John anyway!
