During the war, the pilots of the this regiment carried out 23,672 combat sorties. Of these: The Battle for the Caucasus - 2,920 sorties; liberation of Kuban, Taman, Novorossiysk - 4623 departures; liberation of Crimea - 6140 sorties; liberation of Belarus - 400 sorties; Liberation of Poland - 5,421 flights; the battle in Germany - 2000 sorties. The breaks between flights were 5-8 minutes, sometimes the crew made 6-8 flights per night in summer and 10-12 in winter. In total, the aircraft were in the air for 28,676 hours (1,191 full days). The pilots dropped more than 3,000 tons of bombs and 26,000 incendiary shells. The regiment destroyed and damaged 17 crossings, 9 railway trains, 2 railway stations, 26 warehouses, 12 fuel tanks, 176 vehicles, 86 firing points, 11 searchlights. 811 fires and 1092 high-power explosions were caused. 155 bags of ammunition and food were also dropped to the encircled Soviet troops. The regiment's irretrievable combat losses were 23 people and 28 aircraft.

I never knew about these courageous ladies. I stand in awe of them.

Those Soviet Air Force pilots, tank drivers, artillery troops, medic, and snipers are the reason I think not including women in the combat arms is a frigging joke. The Germans were terrified of the Night Witches, some of the female fighter pilots and god forbid they should run into a female sniper.

How is this not a movie 🤷♂️

"They were the only women in the world flying combat missions" isnt true. Sovjet had also female fighter pilots, bomber pilots, a couple of Sturmoviks pilots, recoissance-connection pilots. But yeah, The nightwitches were the most renown - and skilled. Try to find your target 10x in pich darkness every night, and find your darkened landing place, and land - 10x per night... Darkened, because as it was immediately near the front, it was of course darkened.

Lower the level of music please. Not everyone has perfect hearing!

Agreed! Especially from 2:15 - 2:45, the music is so loud it drowns out the narration.

Thanks for the pointer. Somehow the sound levels change when I upload the video to YT compared to what I have in the editor. Trying to improve it.

It's a great story to be sure. Those ladies rank up there with the best of the Soviet air forces. But your illustrations are a joke. Very colorful, but totally in accurate. Biplanes sitting on the ground, tail in the air? Open cockpits with glass green houses? Either give your AI some decent instructions or stick with actually photos of the relevant aircraft and people.
