If anyone is still struggling with Blue Ribbon Challenge, there is an exploit to this achievement. As mentioned in the beginning, your progress is saved to the account, so you earn easier ribbons then delete your save file and redo same challenges and the achievement should pop. It works on the remastered version as well, but to be safe always make a copy of your save file before you try it.

"This allows her to do.. something" The tower is essentially a cage or a dampener for her powers She could only make smaller tears before this, but after this event she has her full powers and can do whatever she wants or needs to help Booker end the cycle of abuse she's been put through. That means Comstock has to die, before he's Comstock. When he's still Booker. It's not that hard to wrap your head around tbh, but I know some story beats can be lost amidst the fighting and stuff

Pretty sure that when Elizabeth kills Booker she does something to the timeline. She essentially makes the players Booker the original Booker who went to be born again through his river baptism, the same one that later becomes Comstock and uses the twins to break into other dimension. By doing this she erases all timelines because Comstock never exists to steal Elizabeth from himself. This is why once Booker is dead the Elizabeth's start to dissappear. I can't remember if that Elizabeth gets erased as well because I forget whether the baptism takes place before or after Elizabeth is born.

for heartbreaker there is a ledge in that area you can jump onto that the handyman can't jump on to so he'll just stand still while you shoot him in the heart. I actually started with 1999 difficulty and not buying from vending machines. The trick is to max out shield first as that is your regening health. once you get charge you are invincible as charge refills your shield. You can use blood to salt and health to salt to give you infinite salt and last man standing to get your health back. Also flame touch affects charge which means your charge will automatically trigger the devil's kiss + charge combo. You also have a lot more money for vigor and weapon upgrades. Blue ribbon is just stupid difficult. Not only are a lot of the challenges really difficult but if you mess up you have to restart from wave 1.

Great video, although I did want to touch base on one story element. You kind of glossed over Elizabeth's death and the "losing powers". She did die in that reality, but she lost her powers when she opened a tear and went to a reality where she was dead because she felt guilty about the girl and wanted to fix it,. She is not allowed to do that. By going to a reality where she is dead, therefore now being alive when she shouldn't be, her powers were lost. It's explained but easy to miss when talking to chat to be fair. Haha

just binged your entire nostalgia drive series and it's seriously wonderful. i never got to play these games myself as a kid, because i was just too young and bad at games, so i would always watch my dad or my brother play. i guess thats one reason why i love watching lets plays so much, because it's always been what i do. coming back to games like the bioshock series is just wonderful. but one thing i'm wondering, did you ever play Dishonored as a kid? i would LOVE to see a video on that game. it's, without a doubt, my favorite game of all time and one of the few games i actually got around to playing as a little kid. i've probably beaten it over ten times (i named my dog after corvo ffs, i really like the game)

Ooooo. Yes. I think the reason I really like Dishonored is because of how similar it is to Bioshock. I also love the dynamic environment and how your choices will change level after level (which I guess is the same thing). I also like how you need to get creative to beat the game without killing anyone. I played the first one as a kid and played it with no strategy. A couple months ago, I picked it back up on Game Pass and decided to hammer out Ghost and Clean Hands. It was such a satisfying experience. So was the second one. Death of the Outsider wasn't as much, but it was still fun. What was the most satisfying thing in both games, figuring out that riddle on my own. I put all the information on my phone and over the course of a 45-minute car ride, I figured it out. When I got home and put it in and it opened, I was so excited. They're such great games. I'd love a third one, but I've heard that they have no intention of making a third one.

I never restarted when Liz refused to progress the scene. I was FAR more stubborn than she was, and she would eventually update her script if i waited long enough.

That Blue Ribbon trophy was the only one I didn't manage to get in the Bioshock Collection. Bioshock was the first game I ever Platinum'd, and so I thought I'd try to do the same with the whole trilogy. Honestly, everything felt manageable until the Blue Ribbon trophy. I immediately saw the time sink that it was going to be just to _attempt_ some of the later challenges, and I threw in the towel. Kudos to you for sticking through it.

holy shit that Dead Rising 2 music in the background hit me like a truck. That's a game that's very nostalgic for me, just like the Bioshock series.

Clash in the clouds is a great mode when you come home from work, puts on a podcast or video on your second screen and just wants some brain-dead relaxing blinking shit to look at.
