Man, first of all... Subbed! This Dark Knights Metal is the greatest event of all time for me, I mean, this is THE omega level shiiiieeeettt. But why the hell did Barbatos make Hawkman his world forge dragon? Has he forgotten already that he(Barbatos) killed his master and took his spot?! He just put Hawkman in the position to kill his ass. He needs to let the Batman who laughs make some decisions for him though. Best way for him to win.

+Arthur Eziuloh thank you for subbing! I think there are a lot of Greek mythology undertones in this story. The whole "children overthrowing the father" bit? Kinda like Zeus and Chronus. You can see it in Batman and Barbatos as well. Barbatos created all of his in worst enemies but he's so vain that he doesn't see them as threats to his plans because he's an "all powerful god"... Until Hawkman and Batman start throwing then hands lol. And don't think for a second the Batman Who Laughs isn't gonna flip on him at some point. I see him dipping on Barbatos at the first sign of weakness.

My only regret in this video is that it was longer than I'd have liked 😔 As for Shazam, if we don't see Shazam by the final page of Dark Nights Metal #5, maybe somewhere in #6? It's hard to say. One of these days I'm gonna pick them up. I think when I was growing up the JSA characters weren't as "thrilling" to me as Superman and Batman and Flash were. I think it was because of that and the more "adult" tones of the stories. I've always felt they were the grown man Justice League. Now that I'm older I may dig it more. Any story arc you'd suggest?

I'm kind of sad that barbatos isn't a batman who took up Ravens powers, because honestly I feel like Ravens powers plus the way batman works as a hero of the night would have been a match made in heaven, more so then the whole Shazam theory which didn't make sense. But all in all its still pretty bad ass.

it was just kind of disappointing to me because its like, we had all of these complex characters leading up to barbatos you know?, like we got merciless, we got the batman who laughs, we got the drowned, we got devastator and they all had these super big plot twisting alternate versions of the DC universe, the batman who laughs being the most iconic in terms of the complex stories, and for barbatos to just be anti-monitor dressed up like batman essentially kinda feels like a let down in comparison, kinda feels like they didn't really put any effort into barbatos's origin like all of the other negative batmen we've seen in this, his still a bad ass i just kinda wish he was given an origin beside "i'm galactus in a batman costume!"

This could pull a court of owls and just be round one of a much bigger fight. Perhaps the next story will be like the night of owls and focus on the counter attack as the plans of Barbados are set into full motion. Dark Knights Metal could end with the hero's defeated not just losing.

I think you're correct. I could easily see it going down as you say. I'm thinking The Batman Who Laughs is still standing by the end, even if Barbatos isn't. He's too popular for DC to let him go already.

He's very intriguing that's to be sure. I do think he may show up again down the line, however this story doesn't seem rushed I think they don't intend for it to end just yet, plus with Black Adam on the board now it gives them a place to bring in Shazam and take him on. So I expect this wont be the end of the dark knights, perhaps a few will fall maybe even Barbados but it wont be finished, The Batman Who Laughs is to crafty to be taken down so easily, I could see him going against Batman in the end.

Batman didn’t take the day off.. Batman was missing and Superman found robin because Gotham got out of control and so Superman went there.... but that is also the wrong episode.... Batman and Superman switched suits to confuse there enemies. Superman enemy tried to used kryptonite and Batman (in Superman suit) walked right thru it and kicked there ass, and Batman’s enemy (bane) punched Superman (in Batman suit) and Superman completely ate the punch and kicked bane’s ass..... All i ask if your gonna make vids on comics and the stuff that happens in comics speak on it properly
