School Time with Humphrey their names are interchangeable, so are the dwarves and dark elves. It’s said that dwarves and dark elves could be the same beings, atleast in classic Norse mythology.

It's never explained why, but I assume Nidvalir is what the Dwarves calls their homeland while others refer to it as Svartalfheim as the Dwarves are often mistaken for Dark Elves. And Helheim, is one of the realms as well, where Hel rules.

If you think about it, maybe Hela and Odin were big reasons Thanos didn’t enact his plan. They are beyond powerful. And it didn’t take Thor a long time to kill him in Infinity War, but Thanos knew he could vanquish him with the stones he has and his minions. He also knew Loki was not a threat to him because he was defeated in New York.

In actual Myth, yes, but also, not really, since all the nine realms are part of the same landmass. So Helheim and Niflheim are part of the same area, but are two seperate sections. Basically the world is divided into 3 areas. Asgard in the center, with the sub-regions of Alfheim and Vanaheim located within. Midgard which surrounds Asgard, and is also where Svartalfheim/Nidavaliir is also located, but underground. And Jotunheim, also sometimes called Utgard, surrounding Midgard, where Niflheim, Muspelheim and Helheim can all be found, with Hel also being underground. So they are all part of the same world and some are considered subregions of some of the larger ones.

I loved the fact that the movie gave us a proper dwarf instead of a Tolkien dwarf. In early Germanic beliefs the first Dwarf was Austri, he and the others of the first 4 hold up the sky and Eitri is of the same lineage as the first 4. I can't see a Tolkien dwarf holding up much more than an axe.

Dark Elves and Dwarves are the same thing, they live in Svartalfheim/Nidavellir in Norse lore. The MCU split them apart and made them 2 separate things.

Has the comic books ever discussed the loss of Asgard and it's ramifications, because right now I see Love & Thunder focusing around the Nine Realms and their loss of a ruling center. That, and Asgard reminds me less of any sort of planetary body and more of a space station growing far beyond it's original design over generations.
