You shouldn't have freed Dain from his cave prison. It was such a poetic story. Dark Elves and Dwarves share a realm, finally go to war, Malekith ravages the Dwarf Land and get killed by Dain. Knowing they can't destroy their greatest adversary, the Elves then don't kill Dain, but instead imprison him for all eternity, knowing that no other dwarf will ever roam the worlds again.

I think the reason why Jotunheim didn't build a dock was because they didn't have any valid place to build a coastal village, and no valid coastline to build a dock at the villages they had. Same thing with the Nidavellir - their only coastline was outside their available territory. This is a very visually stunning map but it just doesn't work functionally.
