As a very young child, I felt the immense power of pure consioucness. I used to meditate, without knowing what meditation is, and whole my adult life I've tried to replicate those feelings and looked for clues in science, psychology and philosophy to support my strong intuitive feeling about consciousness and myself. Stumbling upon Nisargadatta's great wisdom, I finally realized that I found the gold. We are all timeless beings. If you truly understand what he's saying, I'd like to congratulate you. If you don't understand, don't worry, eventually you'll get there, because we are all one. Break the chains you have carried for your whole life and you'll understand his teachings.

To all of you who have listened to this, please understand that it is the greatest gift to you. I am not young anymore. About 35 years ago I stumbled upon this truth. I did not meditate or contemplate. It came out of the blue. Ever since, I have searched for an explanation for my experience and found that the closest was Sri Nisargadatta's. Every single word in these pointers is true and truth. In the true state, there's no good or bad, no Sinners or Saints, no polarities, no here or there, no yesterday or tomorrow, no life or death. Dear friend, uncondition yourself as you listen to these words. I can't prove them to be true. I only know them to be true. Whenever you are confused or troubled, come back to these words. I hope you too will fall into the State one day.

Hello Murali, I would really like to connect with you. I too am not young anymore, and before I make the final exit, I would very much like to ‘know’ as you do. I have been in search for the last 45 years and I seem to be no nearer today than the day I first started. I know that Shri Nisarargadattaji’s pointing should be sufficient. And it is. Must I just wait ‘my turn’? Would love to get in touch with you. Pranams.

@@dougietabla5948 Dear Dougie, Nisargadatta said that the seeking is the problem. On one hand, there must be extreme will to become liberated, and on the other, wanting enlightenment is also an impediment. One does not have to be "worthy" because this immense non entity does not judge us. Don't be disheartened and think that liberation is only for the lucky few and deserving. There are very few who can truly fathom Nisargadatta's teachings. If, in listening to his words, you sometimes sense what he is alluding to with something other than your brain, then you are getting it. Have you read the Krishnamurti's Notebook or Reader? Refer to his references to the "immensity". The poetry of William Blake, Rabindranath Tagore, Walt Whitman, Rumi amongst others, also help a great deal. We, and every thing we perceive is truly Maya. As Nisargadatta said, how can we die when we were not born? We are all a totality without individual identities. We are a timeless whole who have been tricked by birth, consciousness and physical death into believing that we are separate from everything else. I remember a story about a Zen monastery where many seekers were trying over many years to achieve the ultimate state ,which is described as a Satori in Japanese. The story goes, that a cleaner walked into the monastery one day to sweep the floor. Much to the chagrin of aspirants, he fell into a Satori state the moment he stepped inside. He had no idea what the seekers were seeking and came inside with absolutely no intention of doing anything other than to sweep the place clean. If we have spent most of our lives seeking Truth, it is indeed very difficult to stop. The more we seek, the more it eludes us. Don't harbor the feeling that our time here is limited and that we must "achieve " liberation.

@@muralinarayanasamy8448 Thank you ever so kindly for taking the time to respond. I can feel that my ‘trying’ is quite stifling, and intuitively does not feel quite right. From now on, whenever I listen to the words of Maharaji, I shall try to listen from my heart and not my mind. I shall also read more from the great poets that you mentioned. Once again, thank you, Muraliji, for sharing your wisdom.

I have been listening to this for few years now. It is life shattering and if I could go back in time, I might even warn myself to avoid this. Yet, I come back to it almost every night and listen to it while going to bed. It rips through the world I live in. The world in which I or the world do not exist other than in the bubble of the present moment in consciousness. There is nothing to stand or to hold on to. My world is entirely mine and I carry the entire universe in my thought stream. This listening creates a gap in the stream some times and it is frightening to realize that all that I am attached to and hold to be real is just the mind. It is an explosion that has shattered my illusion. As Nisargadatta Maharaj said it - pursuit of self-realization is the most dangerous thing you will ever do because it will destroy you.

Such beauty and truth in these comments. I, or whoever, awakened a great bit at noon today. This Sat. April 28th, 2023. So subtle and smooth. Hardly a transition at all. I went from fear and doom which has been going on since 4 months ago. Deeply afraid of death. And suddenly everything was different. Loss of separation of self. Great joy and optimism. It was felt like a dark spell had broken and I thrust into the light. Fear left me completely. Death dropped away. It's so silly! Such misery, when no need for it. The words of this meditation drive me deeper and deeper. Every sentence. Our time in this world now appears grim and precipitous. But, from the higher Self, there are no problems. I realize the world I lived in for the past 62 years was pure projection and the world and the people became that. I believed that brutal insane world. It's not true! Everything, after all, is quite lovely and parsimonious. 😊

Yes, yes it is. One disagreement I have with other saints and sages is the teaching of having to be detached and HAVING to be this or that, HAVING to remain, HAVING to etc. You dont have to be, do or think anything. You dont have to follow the advice of sages to live a life of solitude in the mountains. You can never stop being the absolute, you get to choose however you want to live. Just live from your original identity, as Parabramhan the one above all concepts, master of masters, god of gods, lord of lords. This is why I say that there are 5 great religions. In order, Bhuddism, Advaita Vedanta, Taosim, Christianity, and Judaism. The latter 2 invert the teachings of the first 3. The inversion of residing in self is to consciously choose your reality by feigning ignorance. That is what manifestation is itself.

Tony: We don't want to get devotional to anybody. That is exactly the message of the highest sages Jiddu, Nisargadanda and Thich Nhat Hanh. When you dissolve the Ego you no longer want to latch on to any group or guru. But you will really Love everybody including the great sages. On eye level. And unconditionally.
@tonykuli

The Inner workings and infrastructure of our Internal System requires us to balance our Emotional and Physical/Mental sides so as to prepare the instrument for our Spiritual ascent! Before that no devotional action is possible as the ego and relative super ego that these two institutions of Ida and Pingala just come into action. To put yourself on par with evolved Sages and Saints is another example of this expression!

I'm a buddhist monk and I know many buddhist people are so traditional that they believe only Buddha's teachings are correct but all the other religions and teachings are wrong. It is true that teaching of many religions nowadays are wrong because they have given wrong interpretations to core teachings of their religions. If anyone correctly practice buddhist teachings and then look at core teachings of other sages such as Jesus, Mahamud, Osho, Maharaj, or if you look at Mula mantra of Sikh religion, will come to know that all teachers points to the same truth but in different perspectives. I personally think Buddha's teachings are well organised and people in different levels can start from where they are. Teachings of Maharaj can be followed by peoples who already has so much wisdom.

People who understand this on an intellectual level but have difficulty incorporating it into their everyday experience might think of it this way: You are not a person looking for the absolute, you are the absolute playing that it is a person. Then you will realise that your self-image and your self-perception are mere illusions that have become habitual through conditioning. Just be in the moment and try to feel like you were totally satisfied. And remember that you are not a person.

I know that I cannot know my Absolute Self. Yet, I cannot say that I do not know It, for without It, there could be no knowing at all. I cannot know It, I can only be It. My dad got a Naam from Nisargadatt Maharaj when he used to go to him with his mom. My grandma became his devotee as she used to worship Datta Guru since childhood, one BrahmaRakshas came behind her and warned her in her dreams that he would take all her children away.. And then she met Nisargadatt Maharaj and that same person came in her dream and said now u got a powerful man, so I am leaving you now. So I must say with Nisargadatt Maharaj grace, my whole dad family (he and his siblings and his mom) got saved from the most powerful Rakshas called BrahmaRakshas... And we still chant his name and got another Guru of same Guru Lineage..

@@PhilPhilms yes he used to live in Mumbai only,and Maharaj Ashram was also nearby in Mumbai only.. BrahmaRakshas is the most powerful demon and he left her Cz he said that she got a man who is more powerful than him and thats none but Nisargadatt Maharaj .. As per Hinduism, there are bhoot pret pishach and BrahmaRakshas in ascending order.. Pret more powerful than bhoot, pishach more dangerous than Pret and bhoot.. And BrahmaRakshas is most dangerous but they're rare.. A man who was a pandit in temple if he uses the money of the Gods for his personal benefits (that is donations of temple for buying car house for himself) then after death he gets a yoni of BrahmaRakshas, so brahm means Brahmin (here Pandit) as they have studied Vedas shastras mantras during their lifetime but Because of one big bad karma of using God's money they get this yoni after death and they are most powerful as they have learnt everything shastras Vedas Puranas when they wear alive

I've seen so many poorly done spiritual videos on KZbin. This one is quite the opposite -- extremely well-chosen quotes, an outstanding reader, and while Zia Mohiuddin Dagar is one of my all-time favorite musicians, I am so glad that his music is kept subtly in the background and does not interfere with the reading. This video should be put forward as an example of how to produce a video of spiritual readings. I am very grateful for this beautiful work. Much gratitude to everyone involved in producing it and making it available.

Then that sense I AM believes its a person. 40 yrs later the consciousness pulls out of identifacation with the body,then investigates the sense I AM ,and it disappears!!Its gone.So the i am consciousness is gone and all that is left is consciousness,which is know called pure choiceless awareness,OR THE ABSOLUTE.because the feeling I AM is gone.Nisargadatta and ramana maharshi say the I AM goes so completley it wont even be there in your memories.

This is just.. perfect! The perfect voice for the perfect teaching. Thank you very much! What's powerful about these words is that they refer directly to who we are, without having to 'find a way' so to speak. The absolute self is revealed as we listen to these statements instead of the individual person trying to dissolve itself. Thus they truly are pointers to the ultimate.

@RUSSIAN ROBOT Subjective feelings aren't proof of anything. It may work for you personally just as a person suffering under schizophrenia may see angels or pink elephants. The brain is an extraordinary complex machine, a dream machine that is only aware of a small spectrum of what we call reality......sometimes it connects dots that aren't there but would like to think they are, whatever, the brain wasn't constructed to see the truth it is there to ensure survival, anything else is superfluous to intention.

@@albundy9597 yes you right in what you say subjective experience no matter how profound is never any indicator of truth. I am completely ok with eternal unawareness, the source out of which all life manifests. Advaita Vedanta doesn’t try to sugarcoat anything, no heaven, no salvation, nothing to achieve. Any concept or experience is absolutely irrelevant and meaningless. The world of duality can never describe true non duality
@albundy9597
@albundy9597 3 жыл бұрын
@@andybrown3016 It wouldn't be true to say experience and concepts are meaningless for the here and now, they have profound implications for humanity as a whole, think of the concepts of Nazism or communism or all religions in general. The mistake, as I see it, is to take concepts seriously as the absolute truth. Duality, non duality etc. are just labels put on to ideas, both could be true, neither could be true, when you hold a beautiful woman in your arms or see a weeping child then all concepts fly out the window, concepts are 'nice to have' not 'must have', both the dualists and non dualists must eat, drink, procreate, defecate, sleep and dream, they are necessities, one can get through life (many do) without any spiritual concepts.

temperance in my days of youth, I believed I was very powerful. Every day was a new challenge with tougher opponents. Today, I know I am nothing, a mere illusion. Every day is a new illusion awaiting my manifestation. I now know that those daily opponents, were only myself pushing myself off the clift. In death, I found myself in the trees, in the waters, I am here with you in mind.
